Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
Same here, and I honestly never thought I would utter those words.
I have loved the Call of Duty series with a passion, especially with the release of Call of Duty 4 where I began competing, so naturally I had a love for the game. However, with the way that IW treated the PC community during the production of MW2, I can't see myself ever purchasing an IW-made title again.
I absolutely hated Call of Duty 3 (made by Treyarch) - I mean absolutely despised it. It just didn't feel right. The same went with World at War, it was fun, but it just lacked the proper "feel" - it was a good game, but it wasn't the Call of Duty I was used to playing. However, after seeing their amazing support for World at War, with the patching and content releases, I have slowly changed my view on the developer and can see myself becoming loyal to them over IW.
So you just reversed your opinion of the 2 companies. Will purchase the next game by IW if they brought back dedicated servers.

I don't think I'll purchase from IW again, even if they implement the features back in the game. By removing the features, the developer proved to me that they couldn't care less about the product I'm receiving. See, it's not like IW even created IW.net for the PC, it's just a modified version of the XBL matchmaking system, and it has numerous flaws, both in its intelligence and function. Furthermore, IW has not realized "Ok, we tried IW.net and it didn't work, we apologize community - expect to see some changes."
Maybe, maybe if IW admitted their mistakes and devoted actual effort into developing a solid, unique version of the game for the PC community then i would reevaluate my thoughts. That, however, will never happen - they're too busy rolling in the cash from the millions of console sales while proving that they no longer need the PC community in order to succeed. I don't need a PC-exclusive to be satisfied, in fact my favorite game of the series, Call of Duty 4, was a console port, but it was a console port done right.
Downloadable (is that even a word?) content. Console players were required to pay for the CoD4 maps we received for free through patches on the PC - and now, with steam integration, IW can also make PC players purchase the content.
Ah thanks kodakk, well I would buy it if it was a success. This reminds me of BF2142's northern strike, Seeming as most people didn't purchase it the popularity for the expansion was never high.
I would only ever buy down loadable (is a word just separate) content for any game if it was popular, if not "pfft".

I agree with your sentiments exactly, to the letter.
After watching live streams of MW:2 and reading/watching other articles and videos I came to the conclusion that MW:2 had fallen the way of CoD 3 and just didn't feel "right". Thats right, I'm saying you don't need to play the game to make your mind up.
MW:2 looks far too saturated in its gameplay compared to CoD 4 and that ruins it for me. All shiney shiney look at the shiney instead of game play.
I don't consider MW: 2 to be a Call of Duty game at all.
Maybe. That entirely depends on what sort of content it is. If it meant access to alternative weapons in Multiplayer that don't act as golden guns, then I suppose so.
Me being one of them.
I've not bought it, not played it on anyone's PC, downloaded it or bar this board had anything to do with it.
Friends went and bought saying how bloody amazing it is and all that, then I ask them for a game of Modern Warfare 1 and they suddenly seem to do so much better than they did before due to the little to no lag they are getting and I point this out time after time and still they refuse to listen.
I feel I am alone in boycotting Modern Warfare 2 but that'll have to do.
I won't relent as I'm just not interested in the game anymore.
I stay on these boards for news of the new CoD game from Treyarch instead.
you aren't alone comrade I have not played touched or downloaded that poor excuse for a game since it's release an never will I too am still on this board til news from Treyarch on their new installment they seem to be the saving grace for this series now.
