A lot of the cheaters I've seen are wallhackers, and because most of them have absolutely no competitive experience they have no idea how to hide it - even though they are obviously trying to do so by not blatantly aimbotting.

It's one thing to be good and track players with sound and good game sense, but it's another thing entirely to zoom in right before an enemy comes around a corner while clearly tracking him through the wall.

This happened to me yesterday, we were playing derail and there was this hacking sniper. I snuck into the building (the one close tot he center) he had his sniper rifle following me as I was walking up the stairs, then once I saw him he clearly head shot me from 2 meters away. It was so obvious he was a hacker and the player didn't even deny it. At least you know when they are hacking and when they have skill.

I've played for like a stupidly obsessive amount of time (probably past the 200h mark already) and I have come across 1 hacker, maybe it's an American thing, because I can't really agree with you.

I have played for 92 Hours so far and have come across probably close to 40 BLATANT Aimbotters! It may be the Gametypes you play, they seem to like Ground War because it has the most people.

There are games where I will come across a different hacker in a different server nearly 6 games straight! And I am not kidding, my clanmates can back me up on this.

I know a hacker when I see one, I know one of those blatant aimbotters who were banned and I know of all the hack sites out there. Trust me when I say that this game has more hackers than any other game out there .. and yes, including Counter Strike. :shakehead:

By the way, and those 40 were just the blatant ones.. I bet many more are using Box ESP or Name ESP hacks (Something you can't detect without PB Screens)

Pattons right, we play the game together almost 99% of the time, and we have come across some blatant hackers, some will even say over team cheat that they're hacking and where they got them from. I've also seen a blatant cheater come on and advertise his hack site, as he was getting headshot after headshot.

Hacking is very evident in MW2, even more so then any other game I've played with an anti-cheat system.

We all thought PB was bad..

Im just gonna put this out there, but it seems most people who are hacking this game are American (or playing in America), since P2P will 99% of the time take players from Europe for me, and I have gone up against barely any hackers (like I sad before only 1 that was obvious). And everyone who has said their game is being ruined by cheaters has has a location somewhere in the United States.

So boys get ya flights out to Euroland, the land of very little hackz0rz!

Are you guys gonna still play knowing that the game is being overrun with hacks and such? I think I might stop playing and see where all of this is heading. I just don't have fun with the game as much as I thought I was going to have. Personally I suck at the game and get tired of being killed over and over again even when I get the drop on the person.

I would proably be too frustrated to play if I encountered hackers as often as some in this thread.

Because MW2 you don't really have the ability to turn off the killcam except in HC, you see more of the people who watch through walls before you get killed.

CoD4, you could turn off the killcam. (server to server) So you didn't see that as much, but I'm pretty sure CoD4 had just as many hackers as MW2 does now.

Maybe... but at least in CoD4 you had punkbuster and admins. Personally, I've only seen like 3 blatant aimbotters in CoD4. Each time I'd just contact the admins via xfire and then they'd ban the hacker.

And pretty frequently while playing I see PB banning people for game hacks, aimbots, wall hacks, etc. (but these guys don't make their hacks very obvious)

Well VAC does have a delayed ban system, it might take few days before the ban actually takes place. So those blatant aimbotters or hackers, could be getting banned while your playing with them, it just doesn't take effect right away like PB.

I quite frankly am glad there is no admins in MW2. But I'd rather have PB than VAC.

I think most of you don't realize what the little Total Gaming Networks isn't IW's priority and since you've maybe given them 500-1000$ give or take I think the bigger noobier console crowd is their primary concern - which, AFAIK can't have cheaters.

The PC is 1/10th of IW's sales of MW2.
