Awesome! Looks like my system is solid enough to support it on High, but I am planning on going SLi to be on the safe side.

heh. You're only going to see increase in FPS numbers, but the game will feel the same in 35fps normal as in 45-60fps sli, because of this.

You'd get DX11 support and same performance (without micro stuttering so you will actually see the difference) with a HD 5870.

Hmmm...Interesting. I am just right above the minimum specifications required for this game. Looks like i need to upgrade some time next year as BF3 specs are going to be much higher probably.

lol My graphics card just scrapes by but the rest of my spec can run BFBC2 with room for Winamp and/or the Radio. :P

                      Re: Battlefield BC2/1943 minimum requierments.

Anybody hear what the minimum settings might be? Like what's the lowest level of detail allowed?

In BF2 it was kind of annoying that you could basically shutoff all the shadows and other effects so that it was easy to pick out people from the environment. So much so you were handicapping yourself with anything over low settings. So hiding in the shadows or behind anything not solid was a waste of time.

Other than competitions I did keep it on high settings (I didn't spend all the money on my rig to look at quake 2 level graphics). But it always seemed that they were penalizing you for having a computer that could run all the bells and whistles.

I always run BF2 on low. For the same reasons as stated above.

i can't bring myself to do that. i'd rather sacrifice tactical advantage than to sacrifice visuals.

                            God damn it...

With those specs, i can already imagine how Bad Company 2 comes to my house, takes a look at my PC. Then points at it an laughs. After that it kicks it on it's side, opens the side cover, and t-bag's the crap out from it...

I used to do that for CAL and TWL matches.......It's an extremely unfair advantage to anyone not doing it......shadows never should of had the ability to be turned off.......if they had to raise the games min specs to keep a level playing field well than thats what they should of done.

If you play any Forgotten hope 2 now everyone who's a regular turns their shadows off and settings down.......it really ruins the sprite of the game.
