Moretti or Park?

Been doing alot of sniping as of late because its my least played class. I have taken quite a liking to the moretti. I find the scope is much better than the Park. Plus it just looks sooo hot. :) The rate of fire is a little slower but i mostly go for headshots so it suits me better. It also seems to be more accurate than the Park.

Thoughts?

the moretti and the park are exactly the same weapons just another skin. I checked it in the game files and this is what I found:

They're very similar indeed but I prefer Moretti, mainly because of the scope and manlier sounds (instead of the pheewt you get when you fire the park) :p

I'm with you on that one. I also go with the Moretti. It sounds more powerful and I just like the scope and looks of the rifle better. Also the reload animation is nicer.

according to my stats, i'm much better with the moretti.

although my accuracy is 1% lower, i have a higher K/D with moretti.
it could just be that i use the moretti a lot on camp-G to pwn PAC from harbor where they have to fight an uphill battle and suffer more deaths than EU.

Hang back on the front lines and look for defending support soldiers. Easy marks. Or just play Gib and wait for the inevitable stalemate between Central Camp and Ruins and sit in the alley on the western side of the map. Or, if you're EU, spawn at EU base and go out the backside where the commander stuff is located and you can usually see people camped on the catwalks up above.

op shingle provides plenty of heads to take off. You will find more opportunities also if you are mobile rather than camping 1 spot, and it will make you a better shot because you will have to react faster when you are seen. You don't want to take 2 shots when someone is firing at you with a voss - you have to take them down the first shot or you're done.

i was like you, terrible at sniping. once you get your first few pins, you'll learn its pretty easy. you just have to keep at it.

few spots i like:

harbor at camp-g on top of the building behind the one to the left of the flag (as EU facing the PAC base). you can snipe the dudes on the crane, as well as the dudes spawning in between the rocks.

tunis harbor's center flag crane. i climb up there, and snipe away towards the right side and also the cat snipers.

cerebere landing - either as PAC camping at home base building tops or as EU sniping into PAC base.

my trick to getting headshots is patience. It took me awhile to not want to pull the trigger the instant i had a shot on someone. Another trick is to find a spot where you don't have to aim much in order to get a good view of someone. Keep your crosshairs at head level and wait for the target to step in your sights. From there you can build up to moving headshots. After you master both those then you can try you luck in CQC sniping. At that point you have to be able to headshot the first time everytime. :salute:

another decent spot is @ Berlin, down the alleyway and the main street leading upto the first flag, crossroads (i think).

Moretti's scope is a lot better. Easier to see things.

Personally I utterly suck at snipers, Zeller being the worst. Just don't have the patience I think. Once remember being harassed on Tunis by a dude called "Blumenthal". He sniped me almost anywhere I was going or staying. It took me 3 rounds to get his tags, later I noticed he's #1 on the Park.. Respect to this guy.

Another great sniper is "Blind_Wuzi", but he's more a Zeller guy. His tags were easier to get, though.

Both snipers use the gun almost as an assault weapon, aim...HEADSHOT. Myself is more like lemme see.. ok there..ok look once more and... MISS.

On Topic; I prefer the Park, dunno why, just like it more.

don't use zeller. headshots are 1 shot kill anyways with any sniper rifle.
