See, that's part of the problem. These ranking systems turn playing a game into work. The game should be fun. As soon as it turns into a job, it might be time to find something else to do. That's why I quit playing BF2 and 2142. It felt like work. That's also why I've only tried free MMOs and didn't stick with them for very long. The whole "hamster on a wheel with a carrot" thing just turns me off.

Doubt I will prestige, don't have an overabundance of gaming time and in March BF:BC2 comes out.

I wanna keep all my guns and stuff. And I won't complete all of the weapon challenges before I first hit level 70. I also really don't want to have to do the FMJ challenges again either, heck I've only completed one of them and it took like 6 hours.

So, its less than a week after release, and you have already completed all content in IWs newest, price-upgraded, game. What happens next?

A) IW tells you: So? Do it again! (IW has reset your stats)
B) IW tells you: Congratulations! You are now eligible for the new, exclusive Prestige ranks! (IW has given you a free l33t sticker and reset your stats)

One option will leave you fuming mad, while the other will have you jumping up and down with joy. The human mind works in interesting ways

I agree with this.

I don't judge those who've used the Prestige 10 / Level 70 "Hack" because a silly little icon means nothing to me. It's all about how good you are at killing.

A friend of mine got to legit Level 70, then used the Prestige Hack to get the extra 10 unlocks, I don't care, not like he has an advantage.

Prestige gives little to gain besides bragging rights of a silly little icon. I rather enjoy the game, not compete for numbers and images.

Im finding it quite slow to rank up :s I have 25hrs worth of play but am only lvl 40, with an almost 2+ kd ratio so i guess its the fact i play CTF which only gives you limited points for a kill.

I gather S&D is the fastest way to lvl up?

I would suggest domination, i find it very quick.
I have played for 26 hours and about rank 47, it is good i fond...and fun.
I won't see it as a "job" though of ranking up. For me I want to say "i got to rank 70, 10 legit".

HQ is probably the quickest. If you can rack up about 15-20 kills + capping and what not, along with match bonus, you can get 5k easy.

Played about 30 hours and am at 58, most in HQ

Everything is emptied/reset except for your Titles and Emblems.

Which means, yes, you'd need to do the FMJ Challenge all over again. :dead:

I have 60 hours in the game, been level 70 for quite some time.
