      From what I've read, without modifying core game files (meaning you wouldn't be able to play on ranked servers), there's no real way to change the FOV in Battlefield 2. If I remember correctly it was setup this way as a balancing issue.

          Not sure what the exact FOV is, but for a long-time Quake 3 player (at 125fov), it's well within headache range

          Btw, 'balance issues' is one of the most overused and weakest arguments for game design, period.
          Yes, wider FOV gives you an easier time doing CQC, yet precise longrange shooting becomes harder, and vice versa.

            i remember widescreen fixer was able to adjust FOV legally (w/o PB kicks)

                  they added widescreen, but not proper. It just stretches the screen like the old startup line XY workaround.

                    DICE always complained when we asked for widescreen that true widescreen would give unfair advantages.

                      Only the HUD, but it gives you proper FOV instead of cutting the image.

                              Have you seen how 130-140 degrees looks like? I know no game that supports more then 100 degrees and doesn't look retarded.
