It's confirmed by AMD and I think its legit. I'll try to get confirmation from repi over twitter. Cant wait, DX11 is awesome. :yay:

Yes AMD are correct, we are working together on DX11 benefits for BFBC2 in Frostbite 1. Frostbite 2 is our future DX11+ engine

With all the blurbs from DICE about DX11 over the past year, this was expected.

Official confirmation is always good news though.

Yes there are DX11 cards out since 23rd september. HD5870,5850,5770,5750. Four cards in total. Too bad there are supply problems with these cards, i was lucky enough to buy two 5870 two weeks after launch. Cant wait to play BFBC2 and see it with tesselation etc.

DX11 isn't a requirement, but it does provide benefits over the older DX9/10. I think we're still a long way off from DX11 exculsive titles. So your card will probably last you a while.

hopefully my 8800gt is good enough for BC2. i'm going to hold out on purchasing a new DX11 card until BF3.
