Out of about 8 rounds, 2 have been playable. It keeps putting me in with Russians with one bar.
Three times I have waited in a lobby searching for players, loaded the map, and got : Server connection timed out.

        Epic fail.

          Re: MW2 First Impressions:

I've heard it's fun, and I do want to play it, I just don't care to spend $60 for a game that takes 3 steps back from its predecessor.

GAME shipped my copy Friday, and i recieved it Monday. I've activated the bad boy, and i have to say so far, I am really loving it.

            Singleplayer
There are some interesting parts to the missions, and I've played about half way through. The Hanz Zimmer kicks in and its go time. The SAS stuff is pretty awesome. The American stuff is like playing World In Conflict as an FPS. Thats basically the best way of describing it.

            Multiplayer
I know people are down about the dedicated servers but IWNET has got me into games fast, and full up. I've only failed to connect once in like 15 tries. There are little kill messages such as Payback which is quite satisfying when you've owned someone who has just owned you. It does feel like your playing on an XBOX, but with PC Controls.

            Spec Ops
I've only dabbled slightly in a stealth sniper mission. You have to go through a forest taking out patrols. Pretty sweet stuff.

I am a bit surprised that you have bought the game, since all your posts about it have been negative?

haha it looks like all the haters bought the game anyways; in fact, they seem to be one of the very first people to get a hold of one!

you guys sure know how to speak with your wallets.

IW was right, they had no reason to worry about all the whiners. they knew you guys would give in, although i'm surprised how you guys gave in so quickly. :p

Who cares? All you, and they [the whiners], did was spend $60 on $10 worth of material. Nobody is losing but yourselves. While I do think the game looks cool in some aspects, I've come to the realization that Call of Duty 4 offers more to me as a PC gamer than MW2, and despite it being fresh, I'd much rather play a game geared more towards gamers like myself.

Sure, IW has nothing to worry about. They'll rake in the cash like it's going out of style, but it's just hilarious how gamers eat everything up. They'll spend money because of the hype and title, not because of the game itself.

See, I would purchase it if it was $20 - but there is not a chance that I will hand over $60 for MW2.

I actually stated i was going to get the game for console but hated IW for what they did to the PC version. I was always going to get the game for fun and to report back.

I said before that I was given the game for winning a contest.

Having to install it through steam really p***es me off... I mean, why couldn't they have done it like every other Steam game bought at retailers and just make people put in the CD-key in the My Games section...
