lol it seems that this guy cant install the game before 10th or 12 november. Steam doest accept his cd yet. So basically he s sitting whit a game witch he cant even install

yep its like cs or css you have to registrate your cd key first :p

YOUR KIDDING?!?! That means if I buy it Tuesday, I have to have an internet connection to play it? Even SP? And for MP, I'll have to run that through Steam?

exactly you need internet connection to register it. Even if you are going to play sp steam will start up and is going to need internet connection. I might be wrong about the sp part but i m 70 % sure you gonna need internet to even play Sp

BTW, out of curiousity, does this mean that the game will be un-crackable?

Nope.
Just a bigger PITA for legitimate customers.
I like Steam as a choice, but only if it's a choice. Making it mandatory to even play SP is just lame. Which is why I'm guessing a lot of people who buy the game will turn around and use a ***** crack.

At home, I do have an internet connection. However, whilst I'm at boarding school (yay me) i have a Proxy connection and the lame IT Tech peeps block all the ports, and even websites (up to a point TGN was completely blocked; I begged, a lot), which means I can barely connect to MSN as it is.

So, I only have true internet connection at home.

I couldn't agree with you more Expleted. Steam is very good, when there's a choice. If when I buy the game I find out I cannot play even SP because of Steam, I will have to resort to a ***** Crack, it's pretty much the only option.

I mean, how bent is that!! Needing internet to play SINGLEPLAYER! God... I want to smack the moron who thought of that...

Friend tried to run Mordern Warfare 2, it crashed Steam. Wonder if they need to run an update first?

He can just look at his box and dvd until steam officially releases it and doesn't block it.
