I`m still gonna get it. MW matchmaking is one of the best on 360 so it can`t be that bad on the PC. It does kinda suck but WHAT CAN YOU DO LOL.

Read the bottom. My literacy skills have nothing to do with my emotion - which is basically all that is currently showing as I'm completely upset with the way IW is handling things. I re-read it before you even replied and caught the apparent sarcasm, hence the edit in my post.

On a serious note though, the first Call of Duty, DOES feel like a true PC game, I LOVE it! it's got everything down perfectly, the scale, the pace, weapons, maps, balance, is perfect, I love those old graphics, CoD2 was a failure to me and graphics had a "rubbery" consolish look(CoD4 does too), CoD4 was good but I still prefer the original, I actually got bored of CoD4 very fast while I still play vCoD and enjoy it immensely.

Can you blame them for wanting to be on consoles?

Console players:

Never complain
Pay whatever you order them to pay
You can ruin a game completely and they will still buy it
You can release some quickly slapped together crap and they will buy it
Consoles require minimal work, graphics and the systems are the same, just keep changing the storyline, adding some gimmicks and the console players will buy it.
They sell way more copies than PC does.

PC players:

Complain constantly(because they don't just swallow and ignore problems)
PC hardware is more varied, so needs more work
PC hardware is ever evolving requiring each time to push the limits
PC gamers expect patches and everything else for free(as it should be)



Can you blame them? consoles are just too easy and too tempting, money talks.

I just hope IW stops making games for PC completely, just stick with 360 IW.

I think part of the problem is that they don't have much competition on the console platforms. I am not quite up to date, but are there any other decent multi player FPS available?

And then they blame low PC sales on piracy, instead of considering that the PC is already neck-deep in online shooters.

Personally I too wouldn't mind if they dropped the PC platform completely, that would leave more room for games designed 100% for the PC.

Yup, that's the spin but the truth is to make as much money as possible from each game with downloadable content, maps, expansions packs, etc. The best way to do that is to have total control over the game.

This is the way corporations work. Their single purpose is to make as much $$ as possible for their shareholders.

That's why it's a bummer when a smaller game developer of a popular series gets bought up by the machine - they become a part of it. When things like movies, music and games are produced and sold to make shareholders happy, chances are the consumer is going to get what the corporation wants to sell them, not necessarily what the consumer would prefer. The more popular a series becomes, it gets turned into a brand and you'll get more of this "take it or leave it" attitude.

Unfortunately it seems that the gaming industry is consolidating, which is what happens when an industry matures. So we may see more and more of this, not less of it. Hopefully some virtuoso programmers in a garage somewhere come up with the next killer game, something completly new and fun, and buck this trend.
