Are they going to charge for all of the dynamic themes? I hope the LBP one is free :)

What are your thoughts for why they removed the ding and the colors, the pretty pretty colors?

I would imagine, they removed the ding because the logo that was on the screen at the same time was the "spiderman logo" and Sony were too lazy/just didn't think to replace it with the new logo.

They're trying to mimic the xbox -_-
But yeh, the sparkles look fabulous

Dunno about mimic'ing the xbox, where'd you get that from with this update? :hmm:

Whenever i think of the xbox's interface i think of Grey
but yeh they said they're updating to 3.01 or 3.02 soon cause of "freezing problems"

I felt the same way as seoul about this one. I much prefer the old style where it's just plain transparent.

Where’s the game start chime gone? Why would you remove it?

One of the reasons we removed the PS3 jingle is that it was created to indicate the start of a game, but now we’re offering non-game content such as Vidzone in addition to games. More importantly though, this change makes the loading time a bit quicker than before, which we think will be a noticeable benefit for all game users.

faster loading times? how about we do away with those controllers too, they just seem to slow down the whole process

3.01 got released basically to fix the Uncharted: Drake's Fortune problem.
