I've started seeing posts on other forums popping up claiming that those people who bought the booster packs should be refunded. This really annoys me, I mean, sure you paid for the software... but there almost no servers out there, so why complain when all of a sudden, you can actually play?

Yeah, I agree. we dont kneed a refund. It would be nice. but its not of need. at least we can get some mileage out of them for once.
A poster made a good point. Most people bought the collection pack at a cheaper price and ***** where as a lot of other members including myself paid individual prices for each (costing a lot more) so beat it.

I bought the booster packs and I dont care that everyones getting them free. Remember, for every person who has the booster packs and complains, theres hundreds more who are satisfied and dont post anything.
They act like they wasted a whole weeks allowance on the boosters or something. If anything they should ask for a raise on their allowance or go cut a yard or two. This generation of kids are the whiniest bunch I have ever seen.
No problem here with having the boosters, all of my clan bought 'em at the time we had alot of fun now I get to play more people. I bought the boosters twice, bought the expansion 3 times and god knows how many copies of the original game I bought (to get friends into PC gaming). EA/DICE I invested in you, so I have have a right to be a bit pissy at you some times.

But yes, clearly some people lack a grasp of reality. I can understand someone who just bought the boosters last week being a bit chuffed (although from what I've told they greyed-out the booster pack buttons on EADM a week or so ago because of the patch anyway), but people who bought them when they came out, or even just a month ago should stuff it and stop living in their fantasy world. If you buy a watermelon at the supermarket and then a month later see that watermelons are on sale, are you going to demand they give you a refund on your watermelon? The only thing you'd succeed in doing is giving the store clerks and managers a great 'You won't believe what this one customer did today...' story to tell all their friends and laugh about.
couldnt care less. Bought them at the time aas soon as they came out, got about 15 rounds each out of them before the servers started disappearing. Will be good to get back on them and will 'almost' be like a new game.
I don't remember people crying when Far Cry and Mechwarrior and Daggerfall came out for free...
I do remember Xbox kids crying when PC gamers got map packs for CoD4 and WaW free, though. Maybe this is all coming from a certain demographic?

I, too, paid for the boosters (via the BF2 Complete Collection) and don't have any problem with releasing them free to the rest of the community. Matter of fact, I was a huge supporter of it. At this point, it was a small price to pay, both for the consumer and EA, for a huge return on public relations and customer support.
At least now, I, and the rest of the BF2 players out there can enjoy those awesome maps once again.
Oh no other people get to play boosters which had a total cost of something like £10. I paid that £10, I HAVE BEEN RIPPED OFF. But I couldn't play the boosters because there is no servers running them...
Result, it was £10 get over it, now you can play the things you bought!

if you bought it last week i can understand being slightly pissed. I like many others bought them for $10 each when the first came out. I am just happy that i can play with people on these great maps again.
