Re: Time for some 1.5 BF2...

Could be. I used to think it was because I was trying to play during peak hours, but even when I played at 6 pm at night, I'd still be okay for the first half hour or so, and then it would go south. I even changed from Comcast cable to Verizon (soon to be bought out by Comcast after all here in WA, heh) FiOS and no change. My new rig now has 8 GB RAM so plenty to play with...maybe the new patch will make use of the extra RAM? It almost has the earmarks of a memory leak to me but again it only seems to happen to me.

Barring that, what I'll try is to play the game for a couple of rounds, then on map switch (since the server already kicks me for modified content anyway :p ) I'll quit the game and restart the computer and see if that changes anything. I'm kind of out of ideas after having dealt with this for so long. I see some of the frag videos people post and just say to myself, 'If only...'. :hmm:

Try shooting some that's running, I mean discovering that BF2 had bullet drop was a reflation while sniping, but to discover the hitbox thing was a whole new world.

Yeah, I was talking about adjusting to what I can see and not editing any files. I remember we use to edit files for server data, punkbuster update checks and screen shots in the very beginning of the game to get it to be less laggy. Boy its just so nice to not even have to worry about graphic settings and just max everything out without worry, gonna be wonderful when the game because a little more popular again.
