Fail. They only added one map. Just brought all the Booster packs together.... good work false advertising to us EA.

Very much not a fail to support a game that is over four years old. I’ve not played BF2 for about six months to a year and then it was BF PR MOD, and I’m going back on Tuesday to a great game. I never bought the packs so this is fantastic for me.

A free patch that offers some of us so much content and fixes bugs and balance issues.

There is no point in saying there are 8 new maps, when only one of them is genuinely new. Furthermore, I am always critical with what DiCE puts out.

Impressive work for a 4 year old game?

Diablo 2 had it's 1.12a release 7 years after the game's original release. How's that for impressive? That patched actually solved things. Unlike most DiCE patches that tends to create more problems than fixes. They had 3 bloody beta releases. How many more chances do they need....

It's about time they 'fixed' the game... but they shouldn't lie about what's in it...

Well vika,you have to admit that you are being a little harsh. Dice is including a new map along with the boosters, they didnt have to do that. Whether or not that constitutes 8 new maps or not, its certainly not something to complain about. I am personally stoked about this developement.

"only for those" eh... most people don't have booster packs, and most people who have bought them can't get them working because of the registration mess.

And those that can get it working have nowhere to play them because of how few people bought them and can get them registered.

So basically Diablo had problems that needed fixed after seven years….Well done them!:yay: Seven years so Dice is three years ahead of them. The reason we are all here simply is that Dice made such an impressive game, that is not for debate that’s a fact jack….

Outstanding to come back and patch a game like this after the time. Dice is massive so did they have to do this with so many other projects on the go, nope so credit due to them…

If your complaining about wording about eight new maps when its only one if you owned the booster packs then you really need to get out more

It's unfair to those who already have the booster packs, because they paid for them, and now everybody else gets them for free.

Yet those that have bought the booster packs aren't getting their money's worth because nobody plays them. Now that they are being released for free, they will find populated servers to play on, so they do get their money's worth.

Anybody else see the irony?

Just so I'm perfectly clear... I don't care if people get the booster packs for free. In fact, I'm glad that I will finally get to put the EF and AF maps to use. And it was a good move on Dice's part.

Why would I care about 25 bucks two years ago? I don't. I was suggesting how the situation was ironic.

It was never 4seconds. Only morons thought that because they also use the prone button to get UP from prone. Its the same as it was and its 2.3sec.

So if you go prone and also use the prone key to get up afterwards, you will get even more deviation than usual. Thats why you think its 4sec. To get up from prone use crouch or jump, NOT the prone button. Otherwise you will get additional deviation because the prone deviation is binded to the prone key. So whenever you press the prone key, you get the prone deviation.

Well that is good to know. Like I said I didn't know anyone who had been able to successfully test the betas to confirm or deny it. I always use crouch to get up anyway so that won't be a problem. Here's hoping the rest of the patch is relatively bug free.

Yes they did choose to throw their money away -.- Booster pack = free update content transformed to a "booster pack" by money-greedy EA. Battlefield 1942 had more content released (maps, vehicles, weapons, soldiers) than EF or AF did. IN FREE UPDATES.

They didn't throw your money away, they paid for new content. It's not "free content" if EA is charging for it.

EA/DICE has no obligation to continue making free content after the game is released. You can't call it free content just because you think it should've been free.
