Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
Expect to see hundreds of packed EF and AF servers... that will be a first lol
Well I don't know if I'd go that far. They're still not going to be as popular as IO Karkand simply due to the point whorage factor alone. But certainly there won't be fewer servers running EF and AF than there are now.
I wonder what the percentage of players that play BF2 and don't have the booster packs compared to the percentage of players that play BF2 and have the booster packs. I would love to see Euro Forces become popular. To me it was one of the lesser played booster packs. Also I think it will be cool to finally be able add the booster pack maps in with the BF2 vanilla maps rotation.
SF uses a different executable. It would take a lot more work to integrate SF into the vanilla game than it did to stick the map packs in there. The boosters could already be run in normal map rotations, servers would just kick people who didn't have the maps. Now everyone will have the maps, so the problem is solved.
I had it reinstalled before my last format and it was still fun if not for some of the maps etc, I have heard good things about a lot of the stuff in the booster packs this should be fun
2GB isn't too much of a download, its just annoying if the net cuts out or something and you have to start up again, but I have a 4mb connection so meh
The issue for me is more that I've got a 15GB monthly usage allowance. I'm going to try and download it early in the morning, since I'm unlimited between midnight and 8am. I might try and torrent it to maximise what speed I do get.
I was really hoping they would do something with C4, like make it explode if an explosion of some sort is nearby. C4 is set off by shock waves. This would have fixed Jihad Jeeping so when you manage to shoot them, they actually die once in awhile. Instead of never. I guess its still no tanking for me then.
Well atleast they did something with dolphin diving, too bad it took them 5 years. Of course, more maps will be good too. All in all though, i was hoping for more improvements to gameplay.
