I understand you're pissed off, but I don't think a boycott by a few people, even a few hundred or thousand people would get noticed. By all means vote with you're feet and don't buy it - but a campaign, no.:)

      Nope.

Boycotting the game will make them want to concentrate less on PC games...

Both answers are valid and fair,I respect your input thanks:salute:

If it did catch on though maybe they would return to a full PC game like 1942,Bf2

No and even if it did work do you really think dice would go back to pc only. If anything they would drop pc.

I don't like that pc has taken a back seat just as much as you. I don't play on consoles and i don't like them much, but i do understand Dice is a business that needs to make money. So they will go where the money is.

They are still making pc games, so i could care less if consoles get it first.

Nope, I believe DICE is doing a good service in having the balls to hold the game and polish it. I would rather a great, but late product than an early but rushed and buggy game.

There are other great titles coming out late 09 as well such as Dirt 2, Shift, CoD: MW2 so it's not as if I won't have anything!

Of course consoles are going to take priority over PC, that's just the way things are with the amount of risk free revenue they bring in.

A new game will often take 5 years or more from concept to release. 1943 is a new game for PC, new engine, new models etc... so 5 years seems about right. Also, you have to tie in the fact that a lot of the information will relate directly to BF3 and BF:BC, so again, the time scale is about right.

The problem with you Rambo is that you're not living in the real world. You expect some sort of utopia that revolves around your expectation. You must understand that in real life, companies are there to make profit and then games.

There will always be politics that delay or change games and undoubtedly unexpected problems. A good project plan will create a buffer time for re-allocation of resources and time should something problematic crop up, but sometimes, there are problems that just must be fixed before a product goes live.

On the one hand you complain that BF games are so buggy, yet when they announce that they must delay a title in order to add functionality and fix issues, you complain. You're expecting the game to be developed without a hitch and come out perfect. In the real world, this rarely happens.

I'm sorry, but you need to wake up and smell the coffee. I don't know what kind of job you have, but it can't be one in video games. Things change, problems occur and politics get in the way. It's a simple fact of life, one that won't change. It would have been all to easy to completely miss PC's out of the loop with 1943 and BC2, so count yourself lucky you're going to see anything at all.

Well, if it is really pushed back to around the BC2 release date I just wont bother buying it.

Re: Would you PC guys join a boycott on 43?

I voted yes, if they screw with me I can just as easily screw with them. They haven't exactly been very forth coming with any information, in fact once the console version came out it's almost like they didn't care and just let us wait until it was almost September before letting us know, "Oops, guess no game this year. As it turns out, we don't know what we are doing anymore on the PC."

But then again, I'm also basing that off of how long it took me to get tired off the first MW game, so as long as I can do that I should be able to say no to the crack I like to call Battlefield. Once BFBC2 comes out, I'm screwed.

Re: Would you PC guys join a boycott on 43?

if you think about it, they had no time to work on 1943 PC since console release in july. after the console release they had a vacation and now it's august. do you really expect them to have it ready? they realistically needed more time and by now it's your fault if you really expect their games to come out when they said it would.

I wouldn't boycott it, but if the game's not good I won't buy it either.

yeah! PC gaming has no place for such.... wait they've already started abandoning PC gaming and no boycott was needed... what's the point? lol

Going by my high school level knowledge of the civil rights movement, it seems pretty sad to me that the word "boycott" is now used to describe four people bravely depriving themselves of a video game because they feel that it does not meet their standards. Stickin' it to the man!
