Anyway... I think that patch 1.5 and all the other things DICE are working on are evidence enough of them being in over their heads with too many projects going on at once. They are unable to get anything done anywhere close to their stated release dates (Within a 1-2 month margin of delay. It is quite common and expected for developers to miss a release date by a few months).

I have fond memories of BF1942 and BF2 when it worked without much problem. Though, DICE have in all honesty, been riding the wave of hype for far too long. People need to wake up and realize that DICE is not as great as perceived.

The patch won't be released Thursday, that's when the announcement for the patch release is supposed to happen. So today is just an announcement to announce the next announcement.

Maybe in the announcement then they will tell if AF&EF will be included.

They wont include packs in a way that you can play them in single player IMHO. Best solution would be that all maps and vehicles could be playable on vanilla BF2 servers although there are balance issues there.

There are a lot of all-in-one packs out there on the market, and even original BF2 or single packs, and withdrawing all that can be costly.

Maybe only maps from all packs will be available in BF2 vanilla map rotations?

Anything related to Registration + EA = Massive hairloss.

Activing my Northern Strike for 2142 resulted in 3 letters to EA to activate manually.

The last letter contained some funny colored languages and I think that did the trick.

What in the world could of caused this kind of a delay? I highly, highly doubt that they are going to include the boosters or expansions with the patch (5-7GB patch), but maybe some maps that were just never finished, unlock larger map sizes or player size on the maps would be cool.

Nobody died of frustration whilst attempting to pay for these booster packs, EA made a very smooth process of taking the money.

Don't u think u went too far? DICE is far from relatively small company that produced BF1942. Now there are more people involved and there is also EA (just the publisher) that has to give its opinion on every matter about the product that is supported and producing money for EA/DICE.

DICE and EA, when it comes to BF2, did made some bad decisions but let's give 'em time to do this correctly. Since this is last patch and probably last action from DICE and EA when it comes to original BF2 don't you think that another 1.3 patch situation would be a bad thing just because u are a little bit inpatient.

After all this time what are few weeks? And even if 1.5 patch is published at this moment some time will be needed for servers to update so you can play 1.5 BF2 on-line. Maybe right now servers are preparing to get updated and we all wait for major ranked server providers to give a green light for client patch to be released.

Where are you getting this "few weeks" figure from? 1.41 released almost 3 years ago, didn't it? Some people have probably started and graduated college since then...
Some of the fixes requested and possibly included in the patch have been identified since June 2005.
