Gotta be careful with the realism factor in a game like BF2.

The only major issue I'd see with being forced to land the jet to re-arm is that it would leave it super vulnerable to FTKs, which are hard enough to avoid at the start of the round. Many pilots would simply end up getting kicked within the first 5 mins due to all the immature pub idiots.

We don't know what that means specifically. It is most likely just score immunity when running over a team member on take-off.

As it pertains to the subject of having to land the jet to re-arm, that wouldn't prevent someone from parking a vehicle on the runway or otherwise harassing the plane, or hovering a transport chopper in the way of the jet, or even ramming it. And you'd have to deal with it over and over again each time you came back to re-arm. And all of this with FF off, I won't even get into how bad that could be with FF on.

All in all, I just don't see it being practical to force jets to land for re-arming.

Perhaps the bombers could require 2 passes at the field to fully re-arm, to delay the frequency of their attacks? That'd help the ground forces a bit.

It is not on auto-launch on boot anymore. I still have it installed. I've got some bad OCZ memory that I'm having a b!tch of a time getting RMAed because they are asking the silliest questions. And my MB seems like the chipset is bad and I'm going to borrow my friends DFI that is identical to see if it is the board (I'm positive both have issues). I can't play any games right now, but I can browse the web like a champ!

these "office politics" are just an excuse to wait after gamescon is finished and the fact that they say they have completed the patch is just a load they are clearly still working on it. How long has this patch been due now?
