Re: anti-karkand thread
Its all about the type of player your are, if your a big vehicle guy , your gonna play on the Larger Maps like Dalian, if your an infantry guy, your going to want to play on the smaller maps like Sharqi and Karkand, as it suits your play style.
Herein is the problem. On a vehicle map, I have a few choices.
A)Get in a vehicle myself, a tank, chopper, jet, whatever, and engage the other vehicles and infantry.
B)Stay on foot, and try and avoid the vehicles
C)Stay on foot and actively try and destroy the vehicles , with either AT , or perhaps a Jihad Jeep
D)Stay on foot and passively try and destroy the vehicles with placed AT mines
or
Not play a map with vehicles at all.
Vehicles are not that big of a problem as an infantryman , most of my deaths come from other infantry, do I get killed by tanks and aircraft ? Sure I do, but the battlefield has the tools in place for me to combat them , such as TOW's , and AA pits. I am certainly not defenseless. Hell I even has a class that is specific to such a role.
The reason the battlefield franchise is so great, is because you can play the game how you want to play it. No one forces you to do anything, you dont have to be in a squad, but you can be, you dont have to be in a vehicle, but you can be, and so on and so forth.
Do points really matter ? No , not really. So if people want to go on servers and get points does it really hurt you any ? No it doesn't, just don't go there , then it's no problem. Because unless your jealous they are getting more points than you are, whats the difference ? There is so many ways to play this game, and saying one way is right and another is wrong isn't what the franchise is about. It's about having a battlefield, not just individual firefights, but where you are dropped into the middle of a war, with so much going on around you.
Fight how you want to fight , and die with your gun raised, your head up, and the enemy in your sights.
AMEN FOR BATTLEFIELD !!!
