Nope. 90% of the time I run native resolution but since installing FRAPS I am running slightly lower in an attempt to reduce the size of the video files.

Whilst tabbing is quicker if it doesn't have to resize the desktop it doesn't prevent you from doing it.

Remove extra 2 seconds in between spawns. At times you are critically wounded, your 15 secs are up then the message changes to "You were killed" and it adds 2 secs to respawn.

i've always wondered about this. does it have anything to do w/ the squad leader unlock that makes you respawn quicker? maybe if you're spawning on the SL, it only takes 13 seconds, but if SL dies & you have to choose a different spawn point, it's changed to 15. if that's not, i don't have a clue. sure chaps my hide too quem.

i run at a smaller res in bf2142, than on my normal settings, and i still can alt tab(quickly)

I can alt tab at will, no problem, there is an alt tab fixer you can download, though i dont need it. I play on 1680x1050

Yes, that is it. If you have your SL selected and he has that unlock you spawn in 13 seconds, but if you change your spawn location, the next time you die it adds the extra 2 seconds on to bring you back to 15 seconds.

4. Map Scale Flakiness. In game why do I have to constantly change my map scale? If you had a car that reset your seat position every time you turned the steering wheel you would go mad within a week. I have one map scale, if I want another scale I will select it - why does the game constantly think it needs to be changed. Also the scale should be the same on all maps. On Shingle it's nice and big. If you zoom in you can actually make sense of close quarters combat. On Highway an enemy could be 50ft away and still his dot is practically humping yours!

That's because Tampa is a big 2km map. Shingle is only a 1km map. It's just how mini maps work in the game. You get the same amount of zoom and the icons stay the same size but it all depends how how large the map is.

also on the topic of maps there'll be that one map coming, the one that was made for bf2.

Personally I just want a more stable game. Server stability so I can actually stay in a server would be really helpful and although i haven't really had too much of a problem with it most of the time improving the hitbox registration is something we need too.

That's pretty much all I find is necessary.

I disabled all the movies apart from dice.bik which let's me alt-tab and back any time instead of some of the time. Apparently BF2 now has an alt-tab problem.

A couple of things that haven't been mentioned which bug me are:

1. Enemy Squad leader beacons being indestrucable when placed on your teams titan (FF off only).
2. Fix whichever gun does not work on whichever transport.
3. Fix the dissapearing titan spawn, one round it's there, next it's not.
4. Reduce blast radius on RDX placed on the titan core, to reduce team kiliing.
5. Maybe reduce the time you are unable to fire after dropping into a titan vent.
6. Fix APC kills, I definately destroyed more than 8, motion mines or pilum can't be getting recognised or something.
7. Make the game work with odd refresh rates like 59, 61, 62Hz etc

I'm tempted to say something about increasing the armor of the tanks rear end, but maybe this would make them overpowered, I never use them as it's instant death.

Other than that, as already said, the jump to support kit when trying to set up your kit is most annoying. And fix the next patch so that it doesn't cause the unmodified content error with NS and doesn't cause a crash on the BFHQ awards screen.

fix alt+tab, game freezes if you alt+tab between game and desktop (ingame only)
add widescreen
reduce rdx blast radius and enable FF for rdx regardless of FF setting.
reduce voss rate of fire slighty
reduce damage from gunship guns
fix looping gun sounds
fix server instability (random crashes) either from poor netcode or just stupid hackers.
fix kit saving and rank not loading correctly on map load
add no dvd
fix no spawn locations on titan or ground
fix kit resetting to default after you chosen a kit
fix rdx exploit of destroying consoles through walls.
fix enemy being able to enter other teams hanger. (the other day an enemy soldier just sat in our hanger in a gunship spawn killing)
add better security to block aim botting douches
fix hit registration and reduce the distance of knife kills (players can kill you even if you aren't even near each other, it's stupid)
increase rate of fire on the pistols
increase health of ground weapons slightly
longer boost on buggy
longer sprint
reduce jumping distance slightly

Fix the Sentry Drones shooting ghost bullets through walls?

Make Northern Strike easier to install without getting the 'Unmodified Content Error'? Come to think of it, no wonder those maps are not played enough; no one can bloody get their head round the ridiculous installation process.

Fix server crashes?

The first two won't get fixed but the third might.

Every time I switch from SL spawn to an other one it give me +2 more secs, so I am pretty positive that is the logical reason.

Good List, I would just like to see FF off as an option go away entirely, would eliminate a ton of exploits.

Of course 90% of the people playing would probably drop the game if you did that but it would be nice.

Also in addition to eliminating spoofing, get rid of the subhumans ability to crash servers and avoid being kicked. No player should have any real control over a comp that isn't his.
