I say remove them since they're meaningless to all players except the padders and hackers. If they keep them, don't weight a players ranking with the total number of hours played. Use Kill to death ratios, accuracy and maybe maps won.

You care to much about ranks and leaderboards dude. The ranking system as it is, is great...

Getting rid of it completely can only hurt the game.
