In my opinion PC's will always prevail - why?

Because game makers for the PC can build games for hardware that is out or going to be out at the time of their release. They can stress systems to the max, so they can make larger, more realistic, better games.

And in terms of PC vs. Console in hardware, the only time I think in terms of price console hardware can compete with PC hardware is directly at the time of the consoles release. After about a year, the price really evens out. Plus, just think of how much money you have saved spending $50 on a game at release versus $60, it adds up.

I also have heard that besides the Wii HD, the next "next-gen" console is not going to be release until sometime in 2012, just think of the type of hardware for PC's that will be out between now and then.

The last exciting game for me was Crysis Warhead, now it's CoD: MW2 and BF:BC2... But yeah pretty much sh*t all.. Oh the next BIG A55 game will be fallout 4... Now that will be a rejoicing moment

I usually dont buy console games, i own a PS3 and hardly play it at all, games are way too expensive as opposed to PC games plus PC games usually lower in price faster than consoles.

But yeah all the good PC releases should come around Q4 2009/ Q1 2010.

Honestly the whole PC vs console things comes down to what you like more. Most of my friends play console a lot more and I try to tel them pc is better. Its just a never ending war with no winner.

Another good game coming out in june is prototype which imo looks ****ing amazing. Hopefully it delivers.

But yeah during these past month i too have kinda seen a bit of the slump for the PC but look to the future and it looks great so just buckle down play some old games maybe and hope they all deliver.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R call of pripyat, now thats a PC exclusive thats going to be epic! (while i like Fallout 3, ive enjoyed the Stalker series better)

Usually big release of the year comes in October/November time frame to grab Black Friday sale in the US. Then followed by big consumer season of the entire West (Christmas/New Year). Chinese New Year, Ramadan, Yom Kipur and Diwali can be neglected because the consumer practices of these cultures during major holidays simply aren't buying crap for friends, families and especially children.

I wish there was still good strategy games coming out to give me an incentive to get a new PC. Empire Total War is just one I would love to play but can't. I still enjoy the old CIV, Age of Empires, and European Universials games. Only recent PC game I got was Spore and that's because EA gave it to me as a gift, I still can't get past the boring space stage.

Ramadan is the month of fasting (len) then followed by our major holiday of Eid which is where all the purchases happen similar to Christmas.
