I don't think anyone has relised that the player was using iron sights on the AKS-74 instead of zoom

I'd say that's where a significant number of complaints are coming from, alright.

At least one person here didn't even notice them the first time they watched the vid. That should say something. They're a bit different, and from a different angle than a true "opponent's view" kill cam...if you didn't see where the shots were coming from, that view on the cam still may not let you know where your opponent was. I think it'll be fine.

I'd also think it could be a server-side option, so clans/admins could probably turn it on/off depending on their preference. Kill cams in COD give you way more information, and those games are still a camper's paradise.

        LOGIC IS THA DEBILL!!!

Seriously, though, if the game is to be a little more fast-paced, Killcams are a natural thing to prevent camping from slowing the game to a freaking crawl. Half of the people on here want sniper rifles to kill in one hit and want snipers to have silencers and remain invisible for an entire round while just ***-raping people. Games are made to make money for someone, not provided as a vehicle for you to humiliate other players on a regular basis.

Not only does this kill cam hint at where your opponent was but also where he is headed.. Tis lame and I'm not happy with it >_> <---this is my frustrated face

Also once people begin getting familiar with the maps that kill cam will be a major aid in revenge.

I don't understand the point in having the killcam following your enemy around for 10 seconds... showing how you got killed, ok, but there's a point where it can go overboard.

I really don't understand the fun in knowing where your enemies are constantly. On an ordinary pub server this system might work ok still, but if people use Voip or 3rd party programs like ventrilo it's going to get horrible. You get one kill and the entire enemy squad instantly know where all your guys are.

Is DICE really trying to cater to the casual players so much that the core gameplay is being damaged, or do they really think a killcam of this sort is a good idea? In the end no one is even going to try to use any tactics or sneaky gameplay, because it doesn't pay off where as rushing straight in is going to a lot more effective because they're going to know where you are anyway.

If it can be turned off, I won't mind it though, as long as there's servers actually running with it off. I fear it's going to end up like CoD4 where every damn server has uavs going constantly. I don't want to depend on some sort of "promod" to have fun in BC2. :|

Sniping can be designed to require skill without having killcams that give away everyone's position and remove or limit stealth in the game.

Re: OH NO ,... BC2 HAS killcams

The problem I had with the CoD4 killcam was that the maps were so small that you instantly knew where someone was. In BF:BC1 I found that had I had a killcam it would just have told me, "Oh theres that bloke that shot me."

Maybe the player should only get a killcam if his killer has been camping for a certain amount of time or he's been killed by the same guy 3 times in a row he gets to find out where the magic bullets of death have been coming from.
