Played CoD4 and 5 and got bored within 4 weeks. BF2142 stays interesting, even after 2 years. Of course I have been AFK for longer time, but I keep coming back. It's the squadplay, tags and stats I guess.

Agree, hits seems to be registered better and gameplay is more fluent, but that's all Im afraid. And the maps are waaay too small.

I've got a stack of games on my bookshelf that I bought looking for the "next Battlefield" and was dissapointed in every single one of them.

You just can't replicate the dynamic gameplay environment that the BF series offers.

I like the COD series but its more of a run and gun
but with BF its more about teamwork
which makes BF fun

For Single player, there is no competition. COD
For multiplayer, sadly no one has come close to the BF experience.

I found a new love in TF2, and competitive play. I don't play much "realistic" games anymore, I enjoy the playstyle of Quake style games more now.

If TF2 wasn't around I would likely play CoD4 because competitive BF2142 is silly

civ was my first love in PC gaming and always will be. i suppose BF is 2nd.
