See the funny thing is people say WW2 is overdone. But it's only overdone if you have several WW2 games. Because other WW2 games made do not even effect you anyway so where's the problem?

Getting back on topic...

Without a doubt in my mind, the STG/MP44 is the most used gun in CoD:WaW. If it wasn't popular I would constantly run out of ammo before dying. I don't need to use bandolier with the STG44 like I do on most of my other kits because the gun is used so much. I rely on all the people using that gun to keep me supplied when they die. You really notice this when you use guns that not many people have unlocked or just don't use.

Why? The PPSH might shoot fast but it takes a lot of bullets to kill. The reason people use it a lot is because they have poor skill so they need to get as many bullets in the general area they can. Thompsons only have 20 bullets, so that's out of the question.

Even so, I still wonder how they can deal with the damage output for the PPSH. I think it'd be more useful as a support weapon for finishing enemies everyone else has already damaged.

well the big problem with that is when you are on hardcore and it doesnt take so many bullets

I use the Tommy with the extra ammunition, so more than 20.

I also agree that this game did a great job with the weapon balance. I really never notice one weapon being used over the other. Treyarch did a really good job on that part. I mainly use the Tommy and Arisaka.

I'm guessing you've never tried the FG42.

The FG42 is good IF you have stopping power, otherwise, it can be weak. I like using it though for my 'speed-attack' class.

The STG44 really does pwn. Used it more this weekend and it really is destructive.

I play as realistic as possible with my friends. We're 4-5 guys. Usually only 3 playing at once. We make a squad then advance like the AI in R6V2, it works great. We only use the gun the real life unit would. So USMC uses American weapons, etc...
