And what happens when you teamswitch? Does it count the team you were on at the end of the round, or the team you were on for more time?

At this point, the fabric of time and space collapses into a singularity and we must wait for Haruhi Suzumiya to create a new universe so we can all resume playing the game.

That's what i just said, try and read it again.

You said you weren't sure what happened when you get banned, and as moose pointed out it doesn't matter how you leave a server, banned included, you'll still get your points so long as the whole server doesn't crash or reset.

The only circumstances in which you join a team but don't get a win/loss registered is if you do not spawn before the round ends, so don't worry if you happen to join on a game that puts you on the team mere instants away from its loss.

...Although it does omen to the steamroll coming in the next round.
Actually, if you stick around for the loss (as in you actually see the loss screen) you get a loss registered regardless of spawn. I know a bit about how to effectively "cheapshot" your way to a good W/L :p

Fun tactic: Is your team losing? Are you spawned in, and you see that your team has 1 ticket left? TEAMSWITCH! Because you suicide'd to switch to the other team, the final ticket is subtracted before it can switch you back and you get a WIN
