Nah I'm just not a big fan of WWII... I used to be until CoD4 opend my eyes Since then I have been anticipating the next Modern Warefare game.

I got WaW on the PS3 but wasn't impressed enough to get it for PC.

It has the same stigma as Vista had, or has.

I have been perfectly satisfied with Vista, and i think COD:WAW is the best COD so far.

Sadly, people refuse to give it a try and even if they do they try it with their mind set from the begining.

It did get a bit quiet yes, sadly.
But it is still in the top 10 list on xfire, which makes it perfectly playable with plenty of servers to choose from, sadly, most of them are TDM.

I think that COD:WaW is better then COD:MW. Most of my clan was dead set against this game from the start. I blame this on the negativity that it was blasted with as soon as everyone found out who was developing it. The beta didn't help matters either!!! The beta never should have beed released as it should have been a demo. Maybe then it would have been polished.

-False negativity can damper things. This game does not deserve a lot of the negativity it receives. Some people just want to appear 'cool' by bashing someone.

-WWII is not dead...God do I get sick of hearing that from reviewers when a new WWII game comes out. It is the most ridiculous statement ever. How many freakin' fantasy, futuristic, modern, horror games are there out there, but they never say that genre is getting old, or oh, here comes another futuristic shooter.

-CoD:WW is a great game. People can like it or they won't, fine by me. But I have played CoD, CoD:UO, CoD2, CoD4, CoD:WW, all from when they were first released, and I played each of their demos/betas with excitement and anticipation. I can tell you, this is a great CoD. Listen to the latest BASHandSLASH podcast and I agree with him completely about all of the CoD's.

-Also, yes, there is not as much activity for the CoD:WW forums b/c the happy people are out playing the game and if there isn't any new news, then what is there really to discuss? When the map pack was announced and new info was out and about, people were flocking to the forum even if albeit a lot of them were guests. Now, the custom community is just starting to get bigger. So there is discussion and excitement from the community when it comes to custom zombie maps or new gameplay mods. This game is just now beginning imo.

Dead? Maybe for the competitive community, but the game is a freakin' blast and I really don't care much about CoD:MW2 as IW's attitude gets to me sometimes (I was on a mod in the past for CoD that had to deal with them). For those who say it's 'just another WWII fps', I gladly retort the same about MW2 that it is just another modern fps. CoD has its roots in WWII...well, actually EVERY SINGLE CoD has been a WWII game EXCEPT CoD4. Just as there are those of you who are modern warfare fans who have not purchased CoD:WW, there were many, many past CoD gamers who chose not to buy CoD4. I, in fact, almost never bought the game as it didn't appeal to me either, but CoD2 was getting old and IW's maps and gameplay are not as creative so you can only play their games for so long.

I hope CoD:MW2 IS sucessful, I really do. That way, the modern warfare gamers can have their fun every 2 years with a new CoD game, and the WWII fans can be happy every couple of years with their new CoD game. Then every one wins imo.

Same here, im still waiting for it to hit $19.99 before i pick it up. Sound occlusion killed the game for me, i dont want pop guns.

You know, Treyarch can talk all they want about their "award winning sound design team" and how they think sound occlusion is so great (even though much, perhaps even a majority, of the community is complaining about it)...but in response to BF:BC2 being announced, I went onto YouTube to look for HD vids from BC1, and not only did that game look very good, the sound of the weapons firing in particular was superb. I've shown those vids to others and they were surprised as well.

Treyarch tried to get all fancy with the sound, and ended up lowering the overall quality of it. EA-related games have a lot of faults, to be sure, but one thing they generally get right when it comes to shooters is the sound.

EA/Dice always gets the sounds right. Medal of honor Airborne still stands as one of the best games when it comes to sound, tis a shame they never released the mod tools wanted to extract those things so bad.
