Try not to run a 45nm chip with over a 1.3625v vcore 24/7, rumours have it that the chips are very sensitive and prone to electromigration.

sometimes i wonder if everything else in my current rig is just bogging down the cpu cuz it's not oc'd. i got it stock @ 2.4ghz. ya know it just makes me wonder why it plays the way it does. oh well, i should be done w/ that & happily posting pics within a week.

I don't think the E8xxx C2Ds can bottleneck any card right now, can they?

Same here. Unloaded a whole Baur clip into someone 10-20 feet away several times and nothing happened, until they vossed me which left me thinking WTF??? :dead:

This was only with the early 45nm Yorkfield chips. The problem has already been fixed by Intel.

Yup instability. Your system will crash and or refuse to boot. Like Alex98 said, Check out some of those forums. There's tons of stuff on how to and step by steps on your exact mobo & chip. You can easily get another half a ghz out of that chip without any worries. Play with it. You can always put it back to stock.

Solid rig you got there Moose!! With room to grow-SLI. Very nice OC too! That chip and Mobo play well together.

I just wish i would have invented the Antec 900!!!!!!

                            New rig isn't bad either.

make sure to blow the dust out of it once in a while. i didnt use any canned air on my comp for a couple months and i had alot of dust shoot out of it i was suprised

btw thats a pretty cool lookin cpu cooler

so you didnt have to increase any voltages to get to 4Ghz? i tried 3.8Ghz with mine and i got some funny blackscreen when i was going on the interneT

i make it a habit to get in there every so often just to blow the dust out

nope, no increase at all. i think it's because of the combination of the mobo & the cpu cooler. unlike my last setup, it all works together well.

lol, we don't even use that fireplace. i think maybe once when we first moved & that's about it.
