        Thanks Field.

I also beta test alot of the EA and other games when they come out so it keeps me primed for the good stuff. I honestly just have not found a game I would stick to for a long while. Nice graphix on alot of the newer games, just doesnt float my boat.

how difficult is the water cooling? I'm a little intimidated by it. I really suck at cable management!

If you read up on what you're doing and follow tips from forums such as overclock.net or xtremesystems, it's actually not too hard. It can feel a bit daunting, especially the fact that water and electric doesn't work.

Try and find a friend who has done it before to help, that is what i did. They tend to have good "if i had to do it again, i would do this..." advice :)

              Re: Show Your Stuff!!

It isnt hard at all. Tell you the truth you can reach decent over clocks on air with worry about hurting your CPU. Prett much all Dual Cores and above are Over Clockeable with ease.

The water cooling side is to help keep temps down and voltages. It does get pricey, but in the end run isnt bad at all. There are pretty simple kits now that make doing it yourself simple. I'd stay away from thermal take crap and go with a customer premade or make one yourself.

Planning is the key goal and a dremel :)

              sidewindercomputers.com
petrastechshop.com (they make some basic simple kits)
              Swiftnets.com
              Frozencpu.com

Are places to buy and as Alex said those forums as well as many others are out there to help.

                Re: Show Your Stuff!!

Yeah, i want a dremel to play with. I want to make a square hole in my motherboard tray so i can access my motherboard backplate whilst my PC is all still wired together. It would prevent me having to take apart my loop in order to reseat my CPU block or change CPU!

And, follow cable's advice, do not touch pre-built packages, especially Thermaltake. Actually, i lie, the Swiftech H20 220 is a good prebuilt kit, but apart from that, build your own :)

With air, you always reach the temperature limit before the electromigration limit (induced by high voltages). Water on the other hand means you'll more likely hit the voltage safety limit before temps become an issue

Cable, you should pop down to "tech centre" for some watercooling and PC banter :)

Do you live in SoCal cable? If you do I might have to pay you a visit some day when I'm ready for my next build. I'm always interested in learning new things. Hell, I'll even help build someone else's just for the experience.
