eh if your going to excel and enjoy anything alot your going to take it serious. most people that are mediocre at video games like being mediocre at anything else probably dont take them serious.

Not sure I agree with this argument.

I consider myself an alright 2142 player (http://www.2142-stats.com/Sir.Talbot+stats.html). I use the Baur and play on maps that are more challenging to excell at if you're an infantry lover like me. Yet I take 2142 about as seriously as I did revising for my GCSE exams, i.e. Not at all :laugh:

As much as I hate to use this expression but 'at the end of the day' its a silly video game which getting an ego over really isn't worth the blood pressure it invokes.
