Can you download BF2 free if you already have an account?

I have an account on Battlefield 2 with a lot of play time racked up but my CD is badly damaged. Is there anywhere I can legally download Battlefield 2 vanilla?

I would initially try and contact EA games about a replacement. On occasions, they will offer to send you a new cd free or for a small postage covering fee.

Maybe look for second hand copies on Ebay to use the cd.

i wouldn't advise getting any game that requires cd-key/account second hand off ebay...

Why. The discs doesn't contain any personal identifiable data?

If he uses his own key, the data on the disc will be the same.

Cheers for the replies guys. I've actually already ordered a new copy, but i'm too eager to play. Don't want to wait for delivery ;3

Do you think if I logged into the EA downloader on my old account, I might be able to download it?

If you have a friend with the disk, ask them to try and copy it? I think. Shh :).

I just found a link on EA download manager called "Activation" which allows me to redownload a product if i enter my CD key.. I also found out that I still have my booster packs on there. And my Special Forces disc is intact.

In other words. If this now lets me install BF2, I just wasted £15 on a complete collection :P

if the disc is too damaged to install but the pc will recognize its in the drive you can install from any source or copy a friends disc for installation purposes and just run it with your damaged disc......

you can only download it from ea downloader if you bought it through ea downloader. i wish it was like steam.

Or you could stop thinking from within the confines of "the law" and just torrent a perfectly valid copy of a product you already own and use your personal key at the appropriate time.
