Re: Killzone 2 [Demo On PSN]
I read earlier that some of the pre-orders has already been shipped and people got their copy yesterday... Maybe for once i get lucky with the pre-order and get my copy today(it's 2am here, so technically it's already tuesday)Originally posted by ManziEurope gets the game before North America (Friday)
@Wafflecopter
KZ1 was on PS2, and this is on PS3, so you really can't compare them...Comment

Re: Killzone 2 [Demo On PSN]
I guess, but if you don't enjoy a series once it doesn't really matter if the developers change their system. They needed more effort in Killzone 1, not a beefed up system.
It would be great for Killzone 2 to rise above my low expectations, but I'm not getting my hopes up for any game series that has previously dissappointed me.Comment

That makes sense... But you should atleast try the demo, before making any decisions... Unless you already have tried it...Originally posted by wafflecopterI guess, but if you don't enjoy a series once it doesn't really matter if the developers change their system. Re: Killzone 2 [Demo On PSN]
Damn... and I still have four days before the release date... :sOriginally posted by StoneCold313For the first time, i got my pre-order copy early!!
:weo: :awes
Also, to Roflcopter, StoneCold has a very valid point. The KZ2 demo was the first game to make me almost feel like I was actually taking fire. You are huddled behind makeshift cover while shots kick debris in your face and go whizzing by your head. You have to think "is he reloading? I only heard 29 shots.... he should have one left... maybe I miscounted?" Or did you? You could pop your head up and that 30th round could make a new airway for you. It is very intense.
I played KZ1. I agree with you completely. It was a sad case of great idea and poor execution. However, I feel that Resistance 2 is way better than Resistance. After I beat the single player on Resistance a couple of times I was done. However, on Resistance 2 I have certainly gotten my $65.84 worth of game play (I loves me some online co-op). My point here is that a sequel can certainly mean improvement. I am not even going to get into how much of a load of garbage Armored Core 4 was and how much better Armored Core for Answer is mainly because I doubt anyone here is a fiend for that series such as I.
Come and play with us waffle :evil:Comment

Re: Killzone 2 [Demo On PSN]
So, im in the third mission now, and so far the action has been amazing... With the epic music playing in the background, Helghast death screams echoing around you, and all the action going, it's just A-M-A-Z-I-N-G...
AI is just awesome too. They ain't just running targets like in some games, they will kick your a$$ if you give them that chance.. For example, in some games you could just run into a room filled with enemy, and you could mow them down easily. In this, i just ran into a room with 3 enemies in it, and they killed me before i could even do anything..
There's no servers up yet, so i don't know about MP, but i'll test the action against bots later so it will give me some idea how's it gonna be...Comment

Re: Killzone 2 [Demo On PSN]
^^
I just got my hands on a flamethrower... And as you can imagine, it's a blast to use it and watch people burn... But that thing doesn't have good range so it's pretty much useless in longer ranges...
And im trying to avoid spoilers about the story, and the things what happens as much as i can. But still try to give you guys an idea what the game will be..
But now, back to the game again...

I do wish you could use voice chat while playing two separate games :hmm:Comment

Re: Killzone 2 [Demo On PSN]
Sony might fulfill that wish sooner than you think(if the rumours are true)
I just played my first game against bots. And it went as it usually goes when you step into a new game. I had no idea what i was suppose to do......
Voice messaging and voice chat options can be used while in-game..
32 player limit, so there is action pretty much the whole time. Downside was that there isn't much ammo or weapons available. But im sure that will change as soon as i rank up...
The difficulty was set to rookie, but the bots still managed to nail me about 9 times.
One thing worth mentioning is the sniper class. I personally didn't have it unlocked yet, but i did see it in action. I spawned and as soon as i started walking towards the enemy, i saw just little bit of what seemed to be someones arm/shoulder. I tought "wtf is that a graphics glitch or something?!" But when friendly bot appeared, i realized that it was his camo...
Either he just turned on that thing, or closed it down. But it was awesome...
