Im really disappointed.
Ive been playing the BF Series since 1942 and the DC mod. I have ALL the expansions and games. I even custom built a gaming pc JUST for BF2 and then I put some good money down for 2142. I checked these forums for years, I checked the official site for years. And now? 1943?

Excuse me but... WTF IS THIS #(@* !??????

Is this really what Dice had in-store for "Hard core PC gamers".

This isn't battlefield. All the waiting we've done for this? A 24 slot server with 3 maps, unlimited ammo? 3 Classes? Regenerating health????

This is an arcade game. For kids....

I sure hope this isn't one of the 5 projects they announced that they were working on. And its just something to hold us over. Which im hoping it isnt.
Where is the real game? Why is Dice beating around the bush so much? Their pride and glory, the BF series is being flushed away. The most popular FPS game series, transformed into something that isn't remotely close to BF. Did Dice move to the ghetto? This is the best they've got?

If you've been with the series from the beginning how can you just settle for this? People who've posted here for years? Dont settle for this crap.

BF:BC/2 is not the BF I know, either is 1943....

And all you old schoolers, dam well know it isnt.

Guess Ill give untill the release of OFP2...If nothing is announced..

If you've been with the series from the beginning how can you just settle for this? Unless you turned away from PC and became a console kiddy, then just get off the forums. :P. I grew up with PC, its funner, the graphics are better, better gameplay, bigger games. Console is horribly boring, but thats beside the point.

But BF:BC is nothing like BF pc. I doubt its gunna be anything like 1942/bf2/2142. If I wanted to play BC id just buy an xbox or w/e.

I doubt its to hold us over, all that time they've spent on this, they could be working on BF3.

I never played battlefield 2 for the PC BUT I hear it is one of the best FPS games that has ever come out. I liked bad company but then again Im a console guy so It was probably tailored towards that. I hope they are working on a BF3 for the PC, Id be interested to see how it looks.

BF1943 looks as though its a test. It is NOT a full blown new game. I believe it will be used to test the Frostbite engine. Perhaps to further develope BF1943 and aid the developement of BF:BC2.

As Evil_paladin has stated little is known about BF:BC2. It could perhaps be what we have all wanted. Or perhaps not. Nobody knows.

Holy crap I just found out my computer can run battlefield 2 on low settings! I just finished playing the demo, gulf of omen! HOLY CRAP! That game is freaking hard core! I love the MEC and been a medic!!! I like the ak-101

its clearly said in 2 interviews this is not what they have in store for hardcore gamers...what they have is in the works..i seen the guy say it myself, so thats why im not too upset about it ..had he not took a second,. turned around from playing the game and directly make a serious statement to say something about it i would be mad also.
im not worried and i do belive after all thease years there is something there..what it is i dont know either..

BC looks cool but id love to see a updated version of BF.
Whether it be WWII or modern with frostbite.

A patch that was announced last summer is still not complete.
When is it PC's turn?
All the effort thats going into 1943 could be going into our big "title". If there even is any.
Just announce what ever it is and bring it out instead of pissing on us and telling us its raining.

DICE are really starting to piss me off,

How many games are they going to release?

Heroes - For casual "adults", who will never play it, btw... they have solitaire.
1943 - A prologue mini game i.e. just a frame for DLC rip offs.
Bad Company 2 - A console game.

... Feck off already and just release a proper full game.


I also hate how they leech euro after euro from you with DLCs, Expansion packs, Booster packs..... you can't just buy their game and play it, you know you will be paying and paying and paying...


BF2 made me a huge Battlefield fan and a DICE fan, but now, I'm moving back to CoD and Infinity Ward more and more..... they release games every 2 years(you can ignore that crap from Trayarch), you know it's going to be a full game, on a DVD, you won't have to bother with **** cracks for the MP, you won't have to pay for expansion packs, boosters, turbo chargers, etc.
Yes, CoD4, can be considered a console port, but they've managed to do it very very well and CoD is a small game so it can exist on all platforms without restraints and restrictions on the game/gameplay.

Battlefield cannot be a console port on a PC without some serious damage to the game, it's just too big.

Unfortunatelly every franchise EA touches it destroys it with greed.

Of course It may be a smart decision to try and adopt IW's business plan, and plus release million other money sucking games, I don't if it will work or not.

I know this though... until DICE releases a full PC game that is a genuine successor for BF2, I'm not buying their single game, they can F-OFF!
