yeah i guess in the case of people that are just starting out or maybe people that havent played alot of fps before, this might be a good idea

i could rephrase it to say in order to make your skills as sharp as possible you need to get stomped on a little bit and your abilities need to be taxed. .

It's a shame....the Timeless servers are getting bad too.....and on thier servers....from what I can understand.....you need VIP status to achieve this.....and I've been told all you have to do to get that is post 4000 messages or something like that on thier forums.Just think about that for a second.....how lame is that?.....the moron that banned me from thier Tampa server didnt even have an ADMIN tag on the user list....he just gained ADMIN status by posting threads on thier forums.Two weeks before that he was SPAMMING the chat game line with crap about mindless dribble till finally some of us spoke up and told him to STFU....LOL.....since then he's had a vendetta out on me.......now thats not an ADMIN>..thats just some PUNK who wants to play GOD.
Let's all hope that other server's arent as lame as thier's are......or there wont be anyone left playing the game ONLINE anymore.

i don't know all the details, but they are falling apart w/ the pb ban issues. so you may not see him w/ the tags at all. as far as the alt character, this was a few months back when he was most definitely w/ the clan.

Second, WCK. No doubt their admins are not willing to do the work to correctly assess and ban abusive players and hackers. But--the idea that they want to create a space where new players can learn the ropes doesn't deserve the ridicule I see here. This is normal for just about every other competitive games/sport/skill. High Schools have 1A, 2A, 3A... College has divisions. Chess has ranks. Martial Arts have belts. To improve at any skill you don't challenge yourself immediately against the best in competition, that doesn't teach you anything. You train with the best, but you don't compete against them. You learn by challenging just above yourself, and when you've mastered that level, try the next, rinse and repeat. I don't know if banning people with a high KDR is the answer, but a "skill restricted environment" doesn't bother me at all.

That's what the bots on singleplayer maps are for. :thumbsup:

A skill restricted environment on a pub server probably wouldn't work. It'd be way too hard to implement. But training sessions with a clan or a community are a great idea.

Hey, knock that off, conceding a point on a public forum is simply _not done_. But yes to continually improve you do need to challenge yourself.

A skill restricted environment on a pub server probably wouldn't work. It'd be way too hard to implement. But training sessions with a clan or a community are a great idea.

Unfortunately, not all of the maps are available on single player, and bots do not behave like people. Agreed that it does help to some extent, but has severe limitations in getting you ready for online play. Agreed also that such an environment would be difficult to administrate, but that doesn't mean it's necessarily a bad idea.

in all reality we werent really a "clan" but moree a group of folks that wanted to comp play. and him being banned in another game is kinda off as well because his ban is from PA and yet he lives in LA so it doesnt make sense. and yes i know for a fact he lives in LA because he cuts my grass every sunday.
