- 3 maps: Wake Island, Guadal Canal and Iwo Jima
- 3 Classes: Infantryman, Rifleman and Scout [Updated 8.2.09] Infantryman will come with a SMG, wrench and Bazooka (think Engineer from 2142). Rifleman will have a semi-auto rifle and rifle grenades [Updated 8.2.09] Rifle grenades will damage vehicles. while scouts will have a sniper rifle and TNT.
- Each class is capable of fighting vehicles in some way
- 24 Players max. Currently unknown if it will be diferent on PC [Updated 8.2.09] Maps tweaked to accomodate smaller player numbers.
- Matchmaking. Currently unknown if there will be a server browser for PC
- Unlimited ammo [Updated 8.2.09]Replenishment will be on a timer
- Regenerating health.
- Tanks, Jeeps, Fighter Aircraft, Heavy Bombers and Landing Craft confirmed. Currently unknown if any large, controllable ships will be available.
- Can either choose to spawn [Updated 7.2.09] at Main base or choose to be automatically spawned at the front lines ala Bad Company.
- Parachutes are back
- Cost will be equivalent to "premium content" on XBLA and PSN (I don't know what this means in terms of money so if someone can fill us in?)
[Updated: 7.2.09]
- "Bombers can be somewhat controlled from within specially-marked, protected bombing HQs." Not entirely sure what this means, I'm guessing it's similar to bad company's artillery system. [Updated 7.2.09] Players will be able to enter "bomber shacks" and activate a bombing run, allowing the player to guide the bombers left and right over the battlefield and switch to a bomb sight view to drop the bombs. The bombers can be shot down and there will be a cool down on their usage.
- Price is expected to be between $15-20
- "Stamp and Postcard" award system along side trophies and achievements.
- Squad system based on Bad Company instead of Battlefield 2(142)'s squad system.
[Updated: 8.2.09]
- Flags will require you to be much closer to cap it.
- Large ships will not be pilotable but instead, act as stationary spawn points (like the carrier in BF2)
- Will have a stats system similar to Bad Company
- No Unlocks, all equipment available from the start.
- Weapons will not have recoil or cone of chance. Instead, bullets will "walk" after each other... It is not explained what this actually means in people words.
- There will be a minimap
- "Anti spawn camping system" where no stats will be recorded for kills inside the enemy base.
[Updated 11.2.09]
- Pricing is said to be 1200 Microsoft points ($15 £10 11Euro)
- PC might have a boxed version.
- Estiamed to be around 350MB
- Every part of a building can be destroyed unlike Bad Company where floors and roofs stayed intact.
- The "no-griefing" zones will only affect players in enemy bases. Presumably this will mean teamkills and possibly defending your uncaps will still provide scores.
[Updated 12.2.09]
- A free trial version of the game will be available.
