WW2 should be finished by now. You'd think after so many releases of the genre game developers would realize the genre is getting old and repetitive. If this is true, that is sad, therefore, I hope it's a joke.

same here, WW2 has ben done alot, but with vehicles, only BF did, and the game is quite outdated.

yes FH2 is WW2 but i like my battlefields arcady.


i'm hoping for WW2 in the next BF, i hope some of the details on the rumour are true.

Maybe Dice should do something really off the wall and for game modes have a modern fps and what would be cool would be a flashback mode that replaced content with WWII.

Oh, but I guess that's something only big amateur mod teams could implement, Dice doesn't have the resources...lol

When I pictured your idea in my head I pictured a server list with servers that did different time zones. some modern warfare, while some WW2. Like a mod that comes with the game so that you don't need to download anything, plus, the server can switch between time-zones freely when changing maps. Sounds pretty neat actually lol

I wonder how much a website makes when they start a silly rumor like this. It's bound to be an explosion of traffic. I should post about how Battlefield 1941 is coming next month on my blog and reap in the Adsense dollars. :p

if they're only going to limit themselves to the pacific theater of WWII, then they're probably going to follow that up with the european theater it seems to me. so it could mean two straight WWII releases!

well i never said i believe it, i'm just saying things if it were true... i don't agree with you that going back to WWII is taking a step backwards. unless you mean going back in the timeline. how could you say it's backwards without even seeing it or playing it?

DICE will suprise us as always, so don't really care if it goes back to WWII. There's just something balanced about the weapons which still makes BF1942 good.
