Yeah mine came with the extra unlock and the 64MB USB dogtag (which I still use, so I guess I can't complain too much ).

And myself I already use the SCAR whenever I go assault as EU so I'd LOVE to have the BOFORS. The only people I see using the SCAR are the new players and obviously they don't have the preorder gun so I never even see the BOFORS anymore (I'd imagine anyone that has played since the beginning has either quit or just uses unlocks). I mean, sure it takes up half the screen, but it looks and sounds so badass I really don't care. Gib BOFORS NAO plz! :weo:

It's big, but it's not big enough to be a handicap. So what if i get shanked in the right ear, it still looks badass.

QFT. Plus, I spend enough time with a Mitchell or Sudnik hanging on my shoulder that I'm somewhat used to having the right half of my screen covered by a weapon.

that's what i was supposed to get, but the morons ran out of the dogtag usb thingy. all i got was the 40 points & a free promotion & unlock for all my soldiers, which you got as a veteran anyways. i think the best buy version is cool in moderation. but i quickly get annoyed w/ the 1/3 of my screen covered by the gun. i've picked it up a few times, which is about as often as i could handle...i think. it's interesting that you all say it's readily available now, i had no clue.

So...since you got gypped out of a dogtag from the game shop, you decided you'd instead take the dogtags of every player you came across? Sounds fair enough, I guess.

And the unlock thing for veterans was on top of the unlock you got from preordering, so if you got the unlock preorder and were a veteran, you should get two unlocks automatically when you create a new soldier.

it annoys alot of people as teh gun takes up over a full quarter of your screen i prefer default 1 anyway bofors looks silly

I finally picked one of these up from a dead soldier the other day, and I have to say, I was not impressed. Sure it looks kinda cool and sounds better, but I'd bet my last dollar it didn't get the slight buff in the 1.25 patch that the regular SCAR did. It felt like it had a lot more recoil than the vanilla SCAR, which I use all the time.

Either that or I was drunk.

The Boffors one is a little better (deviation shoot, normal damage).

I dunno if the latest patches fix that but I remember the stats of this weapon there's more than two years ago.

Before Clanmod is available, the first ESL matches didn't accept this weapon because the stats (at this time) was better than the original (if I remember well, damage normal : 30, Deviation ShootBase/Per Shoot/Reduction : 2.0/0.32/0.1)
