Unlocks aren't the point of the game. The only 3 unlocks you really need are PKM, G36E, and DAO-12. Everything else is a bonus to reward you for sticking to the game. Unlocks are by no mean the only point of the game or a definite advantage over stock guns (besides G36E really).

My arent we a jaded person then?? If you so against the game and the players why are you on this forum??

As Alex98uk said you play for fun on a server where the other players also play for fun. The stupid online ranking and unlock system is to (mostly) blame for all the padding and cheating, some people will do it anyway because they are :gob_icon_censored:

Well there is that, but its not fun because of the complete and utter t!ts that play, you just come away from it annoyed as hell, unless your an admin (Which most admins are on a power trip) unless you are an admin, BF2 blows because its always against you, the game is great, jets, choppers, jeeps, guns, maps....and bad players, its the players that ruin all games...not the game itself.

The glitches in maps wouldn't be a problem, its the players for exploiting them, everything wrong with the game is down to the players...

but...im not sure where i went with that but...its not fun no more.

I started on total BF2, i will remain here even though i long left BF2, just because i don't play don't mean i don't know what goes on in BF2. Like i said Total BF2 is where i started before it was TGN.

Although i don't play much anymore, there is still an aspect of fun to the game. Although, after 3 years, it's time for something fresh

AIX and FH2 are the only mods that excite me. I was looking forward to Brickfield but it seems that is now vapourware, and PR is just... boring!?

              Doesn't matter now anyway, i can't install BF2 since i got my Xonar D2...

Something tells me that the reason nobody's nice to you in BF2 is because you take this holier-than-thou attitude that you have on the forums into the game too. :p

reliefwithbeef, try ranked, try the mods, see what you like and don't like. Remember that it's just a game, otherwise you'll end up like this guy.

I have fun every single time I play BF2 and I'm not an admin on any server.

                    Now what?

If all you want to do is get ranks and achievements then yes BF2 isn't for you, I have fun every time I play, and I played every day since 2005, on different accounts. Chopper one day jets the other infantry from time to time. I find that unlocks are worthless, stock all the way.

Maybe when you get all 51/51 achievements in L4D maybe it too will be no longer fun?

I asked "Now what?" because I defied your logic and questioned how you would recover from an unrecoverable position.

Unfortunatly you will find tits in any game even RTS games. You just have to ignore them and play and enjoy yourself. I have been playing bf2 (and mods) for over 3 years now and still enjoy the game. The best way is to join a good clan aand play with them you will learn loads and have more fun playing with organized players.

I play AIX2, POE 2, OPK and have just downloaded CQC and bf2 assault mod.

Maybe im addicted but I have fun with it. :)

:dead: Because you have fun doesn't mean i do, you talk as if i speak for everyone who plays BF2....Personal opinion, its all i speak, i never ever make a majority speech....

There i just recovered from the unrecoverable position
