    New to BF2

hey guys I'm new to this game, Ive only raked in about 6 hours game time so far. I'm getting a new computer in a months time so I will be on alot more. Just wondering how you rank up in the game, is it similar to the ranking system in CoD 4/ WaW? as in you get points for kills and flag captures etc.
    Thanks

The rank system is similar in BF2, but it will take you much longer to rank upwards in BF2. The point increments are pretty large, but it adds a lot of replay value to the game, especially with new kit unlocks as you rank. There are also badges and ribbons you can get for doing specific tasks.

Get a friend to play a round of Special Forces on your account, it gives you 2 unlocks per rank and lets you access the SF unlocks.

Its definatly good to see new players to this 'old' game. Definatly get SF if only to play Ghost town and Warlord and get the extra unlocks.

Catch you on the battlefield :)

Thats exactly what I wanted to hear, did you pay via debit card? Here's the computer I'm getting :- http://www.palicomp.co.uk/Carbon_AMDBase_Customize.html
Will that be good for BF2?
                  Thanks guys

Always pay by Credit Card for large purchase, if you can, there are more safeguards if the company goes bust, decides not to deliver it or it isn't what you asked for.

No, that graphics card is pretty awful and will most likely not play BF2, or if it does, it will be at 10fps...

first of all, hey welcome, 2nd of all, i suggest you don't get into BF2, its not a friendly game, and will suck hours from your life for you to eventually turn around and look at it and think, WTF was i thinking, BF2 good game, poor engine, and don't get me started on the players...

Once you get all the unlocks, theres nothing to fight for.
