I think these community managers don't realize what they're getting into. Most people are going to come to you with complaints, and you'll have your few glory days of announcing 'big news', but usually your new favorite flavor from people will be hate or annoyance.

I know he's never going to make everyone happy, and there will be people who are never happy.
But coming on and saying they might fix something "soon" for 2 months isn't making ANYONE happy. So far his only demonstrated skill has been his ability to say nothing in increasingly creative ways.

FYI, for any of you who were complaining that we didn't to enough BF3 related stuff with our interview:

Not to draw too many parallels, but this is what happens when the media bucks the people with information. I suspect the folks at DICE probably don't act this way, but you never know who the other suits behind the desks are or the type of power they may wield. Getting the appropriate answer you want requires a bit of tact.

Something tells me JD was slapped around at the office for that behavior, but you never know.

ROFL I doubt it webs after having some decent conversations with him over E-mail and PM he turned into an asshat to sum it up bluntly. No reason for it either which has put me of a bit but no matter the community has started to see this game for the failure it is

Thats a pretty good example. I read some of the posts about asking about BF3 and I think TGN did went the right direction. How many times does any company have to say "No Comment" to a question? Asking a question about information that is probably under NDA is NOT going to get an answer. No point in making yourself just another community that doesnt "get it".

As for the JD post, I havent commented much on it, but thats mostly because I cant entirely blame him for being rude. Yes, its not mature or professional, but you would think that people would have learned by now that JD does not have the answers. But every time, its the same thing with everyone running up and asking the same question over and over with no rememberance of what happened in the past.

Again, Im not saying it was right and it is a shame that it ended up this way and I agree Treyarch doesnt give enough information in a timely manner, but JD is hardly the only guilty party involved in this spat.

Yes but a simple, the patch is still being worked on or we are still testing the patch would have sufficed not a shut the **** up or I will ban you.

Oh I agree. Its just gone too far now and every post JD posts will more than likely be responded to in an attacking way because of all this. Then JD or some other moderators will reply to defend something or another and the cycle keeps going.

Its sometimes how the internet rolls. :dead:
