    Re: $90, what ONE game should i get?

    well im going orange box. ill wait for the price to go down because for some reason i can only find two copies of it at 2 different stores and both are $90, whereas i found i can only spend 70, making me wonder if boxing day sales are total bullsh!t. L4D is $100 atm so im staying clear of that.

    @spik3d
    no. I meant to say that because i have COD4 that im not getting COD5 because they are too similar. I worded it wrong when i said WW2 games bore me because i would be a hippocrate if i meant it as i want to get COD2.

      ^ Get it off Steam, Orange Box is $26.99 (http://store.steampowered.com/sub/469/) and L4D is $37.50 (http://store.steampowered.com/app/500/). Those prices are in USD which altogether about $95AUD.

      The exchange rate isn't what is was earlier in the year but with the sale they're having, most games on Steam are cheaper than their retail equivalent.

      Steam is the ultimate destination for playing, discussing, and creating games.

        ^cant. 20GB download limit, that started on the 10th so we have probably used up a few gigs. I looked on the back of the case and low and behold: 20 GB free HDD space

          ^What ISP you with? I'm with Bigpond and fixed my Steam so it would download off the GA servers (unmetered downloads) if it was on there.

          Also I don't think the amount of HDD space requires is equal to the download size. TF2 is roughly somewhere between 4-7GB download (without the Source engine installed). Once you have the Source engine, the download size of all sequential games downloaded that use the Source engine will be decreased (hope this makes sense).

            optus. *sigh* well i may wait a few weeks and go look at JB, EB, Game or some other store that is considerate enough to sell it for less than $80.

              Why not try ordering it from a website?

                    Its new years and hopefully the price will have gone down. i didnt realise they had pushed up the price, probably because of the limited stock so im waiting for the stores new shipments.

                      The STEAM sale is on until Jan 2nd...you'll save a fair bit of money ordering it through them online.

                          I would rather get capped or wait till new billing period that pay up to 3x the amount it is on Steam.

                              How's that going to work?

                              I guess if you really didn't want to waste your bandwidth downloading it. You could buy the Orange Box on Steam, get your friend to backup his copies (either using the backup utility or copying the entire SteamApps folder) of the games in the Orange Box. Then you restore those backups/copy the SteamApps folder on your PC, it should work... hopefully
