yeah im thinking orange box. I originally thought about FC2 but knowing my cheapo Dell and the problems everyone talks about i thought about it again. I may have to wait for L4d as i may have to get my brother a belated christmas present and i want to get COD2 sometime.

Just go for the orange box if you can't decide! You won't regret it because there's so much stuff packed into it for one price.

I've have a fairly old Dell as well and Orange Box runs quite well on it. You might not be able to max out on the games but I hardly even notice it playing on fairly low settings as the gameplay is such a blast!

I would try to get both the orange box and left 4 dead off steam while they have their sale going on. 25% off left 4 dead and wait, the orange box isn't on steam anymore?

Orange Box FTW. Has games for everyone, HL2 for the SP experience along with Portal, and TF2 which is one of the most fun multiplayer games I've played.

My friend, who doesn't have a very good job, asked for my opinion on this yesterday at Wal-Mart. I looked over and saw the Orange Box sitting there for $30 US. That's the game he bought. Unless you've already played every game in it and have dial-up, there is no reason NOT to get the Orange Box these days. That much content at that price? Nothing beats that value. Pretty much anything on that disc is worth $30. All of it together? Best value in PC gaming right now, hour:dollar ratio.
Well, unless you can get Diablo II for cheap. I've probably put about 3000 hours into that game since it came out. Anyone who hasn't yet played that game, and I'm sure a lot of younger guys here have not, is missing out. I found it more addicting and less mundane than WOW, and it doesn't have a monthly fee.

You do realize how stupid that comment is, right?

All you could do is replace the models and textures to more "modern" models and textures and you'd be fine with it. The mechanics would be the same, the gameplay would be the same, etc. It'd be the same game essentially.

Fallout 3, Orange Box can get boring very quickly.
