Well it does sound weird of EA to make such a detailed answer that they haven't even given public news about.

DICE just need to remove these things with stats altogether and I bet half the hackers disappear :)

Well it's direct from EA support good boy, so I would imagine it is what they have been told.

Hmm.. and just like I posted over in the thread that was started over on the EA forums with that e-mail, I doubt it. Please provide a link to an actual news release from EA stating what is in the email that is purportedly from EA and then I'll believe it.

Really depends on what the patch will bring. If all it brings (or mostly) are the security issues they've listed so far, then I doubt it'll send me back, but if there are some balance changes *cough*F35B/J10*cough*claymores*cough*G36E*cough*, which I doubt there will be, I'll certainly reinstall to test them out.

i don't get why a 2142 player would want to go back to BF2. unless you were whoring something in BF2 to get easy kills all the time and can't stand the balance of 2142.

I only play BF2 for the mods.

I've always loved 2142 over BF2, but BF2 has a special feeling 2142 lack... it's sort of faster paced and the vehicles are more fun (yet unbalanced)

The guns are more fun/interesting in BF2 (IMO) and then there's the more real-world feel. I've always liked the atmosphere of BF2 more than that of BF2142. Not to say that the atmosphere in BF2142 is unappealing, but if I have to choose between a game with good gameplay and bad atmosphere over a game with bad gameplay and good atmosphere, I'll pick the former every time. If I want a game with good atmosphere but bad gameplay, I'll just play Oblivion, and I don't have to worry about lag and cheaters in that game.

"real-world" feel is a lame reason, imho.
None of these games feel more like the real-world to me, honestly. They're all pretty fictionalize to some extent.

Well 'real world' for lack of a better term. M1A2 tanks exist in real life. AK-47s exist in real life. AH-1s exist in real life. Baur H-ARs do not. Neither do hovertanks, battle walkers, Doragon gunships, or Titans. Whether the former set is anything like their real-life counterparts is moot, the fact that the models were based on real-life weapons as opposed to something fictional gives it a real-world feel. Obviously (or perhaps not ) I didn't mean it was realistic, only identifyable in the sense that some of the aspects of the game are real-worldly.

The hell? What is everyone talking about here? First I'm being condescending, then I'm being rude, and now I'm playing dumb? WTF is everyone on about? What part of my earlier post was condescending? I was simply clarifying what I meant when I said 'real world' because I apparently didn't make myself clear enough the first time.

Whatever I said in my other post that was construed as condescending I apologise as that wasn't my intent. I've reread the post several times and don't see what the problem was, but obviously I said something I shouldn't have so I'm sorry for that. But seriously, does anyone mind telling me what I said that was so offensive because apparently I'm the only one who doesn't see it. :hmm:
