dude if you are truly desperate you don't have to rebuy the game you can spoof your cd key locally to get yourself unbanned, it's frowned upon but i think in this situation it would be ok as this is clearly unjust, pm me if you liek and i can walk you through how to do it

Yes, if they banned him by CD key that would work. However, if they used his GUID in their pbbans.dat file then he would need a new disk.

These guys are an ISP, a major one. The admins are not employed by the ISP. It is easiest and safest for the ISP to just make them sign an NDA so they don't say something they could get sued for.

For a ban titled hacking/cheating, 3 internode admins have had to come to same INDEPENDENT conclusion that this guy was hacking/cheating. As said dd64 is NOT a hacker quality player. Many of these internode admins play on the Australia 2142 ladder and play against the best there is in Australian 2142. They are not going to ban some random pub player because they got owned unless the entire top 8 teams are already banned...

The people banning him would be what you would call the squeaky clean guys in 2142. They have not done anything wrong and display good sportsmanship.

dd64 however, comes from **HYP**. One of, if not the most disliked clans among the other clans in 2142. They always pod exploited to the extreme when it was possible among other things as well as one of their members being blatantly caught aimbotting through a youtube video that featured him snapping all over the place and they kept him in the clan despite being shown the video. Unfortunately I can't find the link for the video but there is certainly one.

You seriously can't say i hack, just because i belong to HYP. I didn't even know about the pod surfing thing, i wasn't part of a clan then. I don't see what's bad about the players in HYP, they're all nice people. I hardly know about HYP , as i usually play by myself. Also, people who are you saying was caught with an aimbot?
+ Is ban evading buying a new game??

How can using an EMP grenade be considered hacking? The only thing I can think of that annoys people with EMP grenades is asset EMPing. Some see this as stats padding - it isn't, it's a legit albeit fruitless tactic and it's is very easy to counter.

Unless there is some other eGrenade tactic I am unaware of.

A little lesson in gameservering:

EA says that if you stats pad, the owner of the server has to take action (ban you), or they will lose ranked status. Its a simple question for ISPs - take that rule seriously, or lose the ability to run any ranked servers of that game.

Now you can squeal and whine that 'i just threw some emp grenades at an asset' but you're stats padding, and the ISP has to take notice. Sorry, them's the rules.

Last I saw, HYP were back podsurfing after the 1.5 patch on titan servers on Internode, so don't try on that 'they're good blokes' crap.

Yes, **hyp**are a good bunch of blokes.. Whiney and pissed off they couldn't cut it in the ladder on GA, but good blokes...

3 admins who (every day) see idiots doing exactly what HYP do, would have reviewed your case and found that you were a cheat in some way. There are only a few things you get permbanned for and they're pretty obvious to an admin when its happening.

They don't release evidence because they don't have to and why would they even THINK about giving you your evidence since all you'd do is come here and try to weasel your way out of the ban by trying the matter in the 'court of public opinion'.

Thinking on it now a bit more, what point is having the video when you don't even know what the rules of the server are? If you looked at the video, you wouldn't be able to see what you were doing wrong anyway.

They say that jury duty is only for people who aren't smart enough to get out of it, and I suspect game server bans are the same.

So let me get this straight. Has the guy been banned for throwing EMPs at assets?

Surely the game designers designed this into the game - a tactic to disable commander assets. If your prepared to sit there throwing EMPs at an asset and nobody stops you I don't see why you shouldn't get a few points for it. Isn't it .5 of a point for each nade?

I just see these guys as free kills. There are much quicker ways to score points imo.

The 'admins' sound like the usual kind of tools to me. I understand that it's an ISP were talking about here (before sa jumps down my throat) - still tools.

umm, i haven't emp spammed. The most emps i have thrown in a round is just to annoy the enemy and i only got MAX 20pts. Also i've never seen that myspace page. I HAVE read the rules, i am banned for hacking/cheating. I'd really like to prove that i don't hack. oh and btw, that's not the official hyp website. The one i've seen is currently offline. I'd like a reason for why i was banned, i don't even know why i'm 'hacking'. I'm fine on all other servers, i have good rego and ping on internode and that's the ONLY advantage that i have.
You can't judge me by the way my clan plays, i honestly haven't seen them do anything bad.

Oh sh*t no, he made a topic asking how to actually get onto your forums and make an appeal in the first place, look at him demanding our support against those admin-nazi's at internode!!! The clue is in the name y'know, "how do I find out why I have been banned?". And I guess I could requote the first post but I'm lazy, you go find it. Clearly was NOT his original intention to gather support against the dark armies of internode, and there's no indication that he ever thought that quizzing us would ever result in his ban being overturned.

Tbh, evidence isn't being provided. That's extremely lame. I'd love to hear a bonafide reason why they don't have to release that beyond "we don't think we have to" (legitimate reason, but... LAAAAME) and I'd even more-so love to hear a reason why relinquishing such information (which technically is already in the public domain if someone else saw what caused a player to be banned during the time it happened) would cause offence, upset, or a lawsuit.

And who bloody cares about his clan? If there's no mention of dd64 on the page, then bringing it up is largely irrelevant. The player got banned, not the clan as I see it. In fact, the last guestbook post on that page (which was appalling) was from February this year.... how is something that antiquated still relevant 10 months on? LAAAAAAAME.

If dd64 was banned for throwing emps... then you were probably asking for it dd64 - and you're a fail for doing so (killing things = much more win) - I'd just find somewhere else to play, but internode are also a massive bunch of fails for not just telling him that in the first place. Of course he's going to go quizzing about it elsewhere if he's uninformed and it's his most frequented server. Yeesh. As much as people defend their admins, that's EXCEPTIONALLY shoddy admin ethic, and I love how many excuses there are covering up the sh*ttrail so they don't have to deal with any mess afterwards.

They throw them at the enemy commander assets. It's half a point each grenade. I don't even care anymore.
