Call of Duty 5, Buying and Language!

I noticed that Call of Duty 5 has some bad language like "FU**" word in it. I know lots of info of World War I and WWII. But not at all, no one knew the 'F' word in the 1900-1980 around. So I was wondering, how could I get the swearing out of there. As forth my family wont allow it and I really love it!

Red Dead Redemption - Mature 17+ - Red Dead Redemption is rated M for Mature 17+ by the ESRB with Blood, Intense Violence, Nudity, Strong Language, Strong Sexual Content, and Use of Drugs.

    It's clearly marked.

There may be a swear filter but I doubt it.

    Are you fing serious? :shakehead:

The game has less use of the "F" word in it than most R-rated movies. You probably hear it less than a dozen times total in Singleplayer, and there's pretty much just the one soundbite at the end of some rounds in Multiplayer when the US team wins when you hear it.

Explain to your parents that it's just meant to try to portray the intensity of combat - it's not gratuitous. Use headphones when you play, and they'll never even hear it.

Headphones would be the best bet, and for MP, if you don't want headphones, just be sure to turn down the sound at the end of rounds when you hear "out****ing standing" I know people are lawling at the F comment, but people didn't use it as much as I believe people use it now. Also, in the game settings, there is a parental control you could activate. Although, I don't know if that lets you pick and choose stuff, or completely takes out gore and cussing...check it out.

When I played the beta I was surprised at the profanity, but I liked it.

There is a filter in Options > Game Options which removes all blood/torture (e.g., the first scene of the game you just see the shadows) and voice overs with cussing except when playing online with other users.

SWEET! So your telling me there's a 'setting' section for cutting out the cussing? Awesome! Now I won't worry about the language!

That's just for singleplayer by the way. It's not censored in coop or MP.

How can they tone down the gore, especially the final scene of the multiplayer?

Watch 1971 M*A*S*H movie and the F word is mentioned once, it was the first 'R' rated movie to use the F-word. All movies before 1970 that used the F-word would of gotten an 'Adult' rating (X or NC17). From what I understand the f-word has been around for quiet sometime. I've seen material that can confirm the f-word as far back as the mid 20s (pornographic materials, beatnik and anarchist literature).

Try manning up just a bit, you are play a dam war game where people are blowing each others heads off.

It's kind of like a christian BF2 server, where there is to be no swear words of any kind, that includes the words "Dam and hell".

The F bomb won't kill you, i ****ING promise you. :) (pardon my french.)

I always get a kick out of that sort of hypocrisy as well. Those servers are a joke-and-a-half.

                            Sadly, they still exist.
