that they didnt just do a sci-fi Cod similar to bf2142 i mean hasnt ww2 been flogged and repeated soooooo many times?
WWII games like the MOH's and COD's were a big factor in pushing the popularity of FPS games in the early 2000's. And there's still a very large fan-base of people who got into gaming back then, but have been waiting for the next good one since the failures of the last couple MOH's, and who didn't like the "spammy-ness" of COD4.
As Iwantcable said, there are rumours of a sci-fi shooter in the works somewhere down the road. And yes, if they do it right, it could also be very popular.
It's smart to have good quality games in all of the different time periods to appeal to a wide variety of players.
that they didnt just do a sci-fi Cod similar to bf2142 i mean hasnt ww2 been flogged and repeated soooooo many times? did they feel that the main Cod player base would find a sci-fi-ish release to be really lame and wouldnt sell? they really shouldnt have anything to worry about as far as fps games go they really got it down in terms of movment, shooting, hit registry and weapons well maybe the weapons are a tad easy to use but whatever. if they were worried about making an unrealstic game its not like the gaming engine is really about realistic fighting anyways. with sci-fi im not talking about laser guns or anything because personally laser guns are retarded guns in video games that shoot bullets are much cooler and funner imo. but more like cool looking armor and futuristic projectile weapons. idk ill still buy this game when it comes out but personally ww2 stuff is really not my taste at all. either modern or futuristic with this bolt action old *** junk from 1940 it just doesnt appeal. eh i dont know what you guys think.
