I want the 44 to be like the Baur of BF2142, it packs a hell of a punch but it needs to have the recoil that comes with it, so once you get good with the overall feel of the gun you can dominate without people shouting at you.

I havent tried them all, but the type 100 is awesome. Thompson and this wacked out heavy machine gun are pretty cool too.

Yeah I loved the Type 100 till I unlocked the STG-44 trust me just wait till you get it, no recoil high capacity magazine high damage per shot.

I tried the BAR with the bi-pod and I have to say...OOOOOH MY GOD!!! It's dead accurate, doesn't kick much, seems to shoot faster 'n all. It's amazing. I think it should be able to be mounted on more sufaces though.

I'm more of the BF2142 BAUR, COD4 M14 or M16A4 \w ACOG guy. I like the guns that are not so good in close quarters, but are dead accurate and kick a huge punch. So I like the M1 Garand, BAR and all the bold action rifles. But especially the Springfield.

the BAR is lovely, best automatic gun out there, but the m1 garand is the best rifle

I cant use the bar, i only get one shot off into a guy by the time hes 1/2 way through his clip.

For some odd reason, the BAR fires faster when it has a bipod deployed. You get absolutely MAD rates of fire, and you empty that clip faster than you can spit. Get up to a window with the bipod on and press F. Voila, you now have a mounted BAR, ready for pwning.

Console guys have noted some bugs with the BAR+bipod (including unlimited ammo under certain circumstances), so it will be re-vamped in updates/patches after launch. According to David V, they may have to first remove the bipod completely, then add it back in with the fix. This is for consoles, so I'm not sure how this may affect PC (I would guess that at least some of the Console issues are also present on PC).

Stg 44 is the best gun in this whole game
To me it's like bringing AK47 to the WWII Era.

The AK was based off of it. So tadah. My friend just discovered the bug where you can shoot forever w/ a bipod. He hasnt stopped using it all day, he just lays down in a choke point and sprays with ppl watching his flanks. so hopefully that gets fixed.
