So having seen the gametrailer.com episode about CoD:WW/WaW/5, they talked about how they did the sounds in the game.
For each and every single hand gun/rifle/machine gun, they shot and recorded each one with a number of different microphones at different angles and put it in the game.
I have read on a number of different forums about people complaining about how they don't sound realistic and the weapons sound weak.
So what is your take on that? Do people expect a certain gun to make a certain noise and anything else is weak? Do people just have bad soundcards/hearing/headphones and thats why they dont truly hear it? Are the sounds just not up to snuff because of the recording of them?
Personally, I think people simply expect a gun to sound a certain way because of movies or whatever and when they here the real thing, they can't believe thats it.
Crunch
