Red Alert 1 (storyline, cinematics) + COH style gameplay would be fun

Battlefield 1942 (vehicles 64 player maps etc) + COD5 (more realistic combat, graphics, animation etc)

I actually hope that Battlefield 3 incorporates this idea. It isn't a new idea either...just not executed to perfection yet.


I want to control the world like an RTS but be able to jump in to micro-manage the troops/resources via FPS.

I would somewhat go with Whiskey's, but would combine CoD:WW in so that I could have the gore and blood. I'm not sadistic, but it really adds to the carnage that is WWII. Bye bye puffs of white smoke.

So MoH:Spearhead, CoD:UO, CoD:WW in an MMO world. I cheated! :p

You know what kills me, I was on a mod for CoD that had this somewhat type of epic battle you speak of. It wasn't exactly it, or to the same extreme, but it was a form of that, and we weren't able to complete our mod. Thank you IW for not giving out source code like you promised you would to modders. :salute:

Do you not think CoD6 might be this? I remember reading in interview before where they said they wanted to combine the CoD series with an MMO environment. Also, Activision and Blizzard are one now, and Blizzard has experience in the area of MMOs. However, we know CoD6 is modern, so it wouldn't be the WWII part. Would still be sweet though.

Convergence (FPS+MMO) will probably depend on the success or failure of Huxley...an FPS MMO. If that title does well, then you can bet that others will follow suit and they will improve upon the idea. Mod teams will more than likely exploit mod tools to make this a reality in other engines as well....I just can't predict who will get there first.

I would combine the singleplayer of Far Cry 2 and the multiplayer of BF2.
