I'm going to go with some of the others here, I would wait for FC2. But it really depends on how much you want vehicles to factor in the game because as far as I'm aware its only transport vehicles in Far Cry 2

COD5 is a promising game, it will be better as well because it has vehicles in it, FTW!!!.

Unfortunately FOW did get some pretty bad reviews but life goes on.

TF2!!!1 Everyone needs to try it, even if you think it doesn't look hardcore enough.

I really enjoyed (and still do occasionally) BF2142, even if a lot of BF2 vets hated it.

As for future games, the only one that comes to mind, really, is CoD5. Looks promising!
